Top agents for Sienna Miller have been accused of ‘airbrushing’ her official CV to rid it of controversial projects and flops.
As the British star continues to be in demand as one of Hollywood’s hottest actresses, sources have pointed out that three of her most ‘problematic’ films – including comedy dud Unfinished Business and indie drama The Mysteries Of Pittsburgh – were absent in an official listing on the United Agents’ website.
Also missing was her role in An Imperfect Murder, where she starred alongside Alec Baldwin – now a controversial figure after he stood trial for involuntary manslaughter for firing a live round on the set of his film Rust, which killed a cinematographer.
The film’s director, James Toback, who is also a close friend of the actress, accused United Agents of ‘timidity’ and ‘bigotry’ for manipulating her CV to rewrite history.

Referring to An Imperfect Murder, he said: ‘Sienna is one of the smartest people I know. This movie is a beautiful work of art and she gave a great performance. The idea that any of these films were accidentally omitted from her acting CV is disgusting and implausible.’
The purpose of the listing on the United Agents’ website is to advertise the broad scope of an actor’s work for prospective casting agents, journalists, fans and bookers. While not a complete archive, it is notable that it is largely Ms Miller’s rare missteps which have apparently not been listed.
The 42-year-old, who had her big break in British films Layer Cake and Alfie, finds herself now much in demand in Hollywood. She has recently appeared alongside Bradley Cooper in Burnt, and with Kevin Costner in Horizon: An American Saga.
But not every film has led to acclaim. Her role in The Mysteries Of Pittsburgh in 2008 led to a storm of controversy after she referred to the filming location as ‘S**ttsburgh’ in an interview.

‘Can you believe this is my life?’ Ms Miller told Rolling Stone. ‘Will you pity me when you’re back in your funky New York apartment and I’m still in Pittsburgh?’ She apologised, insisting her words were linked to the fact filming was done at night, adding: ‘What I have seen of it is beautiful.’
Another film absent is the 2015 comedy flop Unfinished Business. It grossed £11million, less than half of its £27million budget. Mail film critic Brian Viner described it as a ‘puerile mess, flailing for laughs like a ten-year-old class clown desperate for popularity’.
An Imperfect Murder has a score of 2.9 out of 10 on film website IMDb. Last week, when this newspaper highlighted the omissions, United Agents swiftly reinstated the missing films, insisting there was ‘no particular reason’ they had been left off.
