According to Deadline, the 60-year-old country music icon's life and career will soon be the subject of a new film for Sony Pictures.
It will reportedly be helmed by singer/actress Leah McKendrick, who will also pen the film's script.
McKendrick's credits include the upcoming rom-com Voicemails for Isabelle and the Yvonne Strahovski-starring 2023 feature Scrambled.

The outlet reports that Twain will co-produce the biopic with Amie Karp, who produced : Frozen Empire (2024) and Ghostbusters: Afterlife (2021).
The Daily Mail has reached out to representatives for Twain for comment but has yet to hear back.
