Brooke Warne has taken to her social media to thank Coldplay for their touching tribute to her late father Shane Warne.
Posting to her stories, Brooke, 27, shared video and images of the Brit rockers’ first show at Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium on Wednesday night.
During the sold-out gig, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, dedicated the band’s hit tune Sparks to the late cricketer.
Martin, 47, who was a close friend of King of Spin, said: ‘Let’s play this for Shane and his family.’
The fan favourite fought back emotion as he continued, ‘Our brother, we miss you. Every time we come to Melbourne, it used to be fun to hang out with Shane and all the Warne family.
‘I don’t want to talk about it too much or I’ll start to cry.’
Brooke later commemorated the moment with a snap shared to her Instagram stories that showed her posing with her brother Jackson, 25, and her mother, Shane’s ex-partner Simone Callahan, 54.
Also featured in the picture was Jackson’s girlfriend, Kiah Broadsmith, 24.

Shane Warne’s friendship with Martin and Coldplay made headlines back in 2016 when the sports champ joined the band on stage during a show in Melbourne.
The cricketer surprised fans with an unannounced guest spot in the set.
Shane accompanied the band on harmonica as they belted out their popular tune Don’t Panic.
It comes after Coldplay singer Chris Martin penned a ballad Song for Shane in tribute to his late friend.
Martin first performed the tribute song for Warne in Perth in November last year, when the band played a special one-off show in Western Australia.

‘Friends come, friends go, There are some people you’re lucky to know, If I could I’d do it all again, Thanks for everything, Shane,’ Martin serenaded the crowd during the heartfelt performance.
Warne’s daughter Summer, 23, attended the concert and later took to Instagram to thank the band for honouring her father,
‘The most amazing song dedicated to Dad. Thank you Chris, so beautiful,’ she wrote.

The ballad’s lyrics reveal how Martin first met Warne in an elevator and pays cheeky tribute to his love for smoking and fast food.
It follows Chris Martin performing a haunting rendition of Coldplay’s Yellow at Shane’s memorial service in March 2022.
Shane Warne died from natural causes while holidaying with friends on the Thailand island of Koh Samui on March 4, 2022.
The late leg spinner previously revealed that Chris turned to him when he has a ‘block in music writing’.
The pair had been close friends since meeting in a hotel elevator in 2001,
Martin even appeared in the movie Shane, the documentary released in January 2022 about the sporting legend’s life.
Meanwhile, Coldplay continue their Music of the Spheres tour Down Under with two more sold out gigs in Melbourne over the weekend.
The band will then head to Sydney to play four sold out shows at Accor Stadium.
