Sadie Sink and Noah Jupe Shine in West End Debut

and Noah Jupe couldn't contain their smiles as they made their West End debuts during the press night of Romeo & Juliet on Tuesday.

The star, 23, and the Hamnet actor, 21, who star as the leading roles, looked pleased with their performance during their first curtain call at the Harold Pinter Theatre. 

Sadie and Noah's run in Romeo and Juliet is scheduled to run until 20 June, and while the play is very much a 21st Century adaptation the pair channelled the doomed pair's famous history with a Regency-inspired costume. 

The star looked sensational in a beige gown and styles her red tresses pulled back out of her face as she took to the stage alongside her co-star Noah. 

Noah, who recently starred alongside  and in Hamnet, was dressed in all black including a sleeveless jumper. 

Following the performance, the leading stars dressed to impress as they headed to the opening night after party at Quaglino's. 

Sadie seemed to keep in character a she slipped into a white satin pleated gown as she cosied up to Noah for photos. 

Noah dressed smart for the night as he layered a grey Miu Miu jumper over a blue shirt and black trousers.  

Supporting the pair were actor Mark Strong, 62, and singer Will Young, 47, who attended the press night.

Sadie is making her West End debut after completing work on Stranger Things, the hugely successful Netflix show responsible for turning her into a household name.

The fifth and final season aired to mixed reviews in December, with Sadie reprising her role as skateboarding tomboy Max Mayfield for the last time.

'It feels more like a relief that it’s complete and just such a joy to share it with people,' she told British Vogue last month. 'Or maybe my brain’s so scattered that I can’t actually even think about the fact that it’s over.'

She is now braced for a three month stay in the English capital while she and Jupe play doomed lovers in the latest interpretation of Shakespeare's enduringly popular tragedy.

The actors admitted they are yet to establish a working dynamic, having only rehearsed together twice.

'We did a chemistry read together and that was, what, like an hour?' Sadie revealed. 'And then the second time we met.'

'We had to do a full-on photoshoot for it,' added Jupe, a referenced to the promotional posters currently lining tube station walls across London.
