Rumer Willis Faces Custody Battle Over Daughter

 has been granted 'primary physical custody' of three-year-old daughter Louetta, who she shares joint legal custody of with ex-boyfriend Derek Richard Thomas.

Rumer, 37, who is the eldest daughter of A-listers , 63, and , 71, has been in  with Thomas, 33, following their 2024 split.

Willis and Thomas were awarded joint legal custody of the minor child in an order issued by Superior Court Ryan D. White on Tuesday and reviewed by the Daily Mail, which stated Willis 'shall have primary physical custody of the minor child.'

The former couple was instructed by the court to 'share in the responsibility and confer in good faith on matters concerning the health, education, and welfare' of their daughter.

Specific issues cited by the court included schooling, religious activities, physical and mental health care, and traveling arrangements. 

The Daily Mail has reached out to representatives for both parties for further comment on the story. 

The judge declared in the ruling that 'all legal material decisions shall be discussed and agreed to between the parties;' and that 'any proposal with no response shall be deemed consent if there is no response within 72 hours.'
