Reese and Ryan Reunite at Sons Graduation

It was a star-studded graduation ceremony for New York University at Radio City Music Hall in on Friday afternoon.

, 50, and ex-husband Ryan Phillippe, 51, were seen for the first time together in years as they celebrated their son Deacon's commencement ceremonies.

Their daughter Ava was also on hand as was Witherspoon's third child, Toth, with her ex-husband Jim Toth in tow. 

Also present was Kate Hudson, 47, and her fiancé Danny Fujikawa who were cheering on her son Ryder Robinson, 22, whom she shares with her rock star ex-husband Chris Robinson, 59, who was spotted at the event.

Hudson's mother Goldie Hawn and her partner Kurt Russell were there for family support.

Then there was Vogue supermodel Christy Turlington who was celebrating her daughter Grace Burns' graduation with husband Edward Burns, a filmmaker.

Witherspoon was elegant in a dark blue denim button-up dress with an ivory blazer on her shoulders and a matching handbag on her arm.

She added T-strap beige heels, sunglasses and gold jewelry as her blonde hair was worn down past her shoulders.

Phillippe, an actor she costarred with in Cruel Intentions, had on a crisp white untucked shirt with dark slacks and aviator sunglasses.

Witherspoon and Phillippe, who wed in 1999 and divorced in 2008, were seen side by side as they took photographs of their son. They appeared to be in a great mood as they smiled at each other, making it clear there is no tension between the two.

Deacon, 22, looked proud as he modeled his purple robe with a yellow satin sash around his neck. 

He has already started his acting career with roles in Never Have I Ever and Motorheads. And he has a budding singing career as well.

Also present was Witherspoon and Phillippe's daughter Ava Phillippe, 26, who is a college graduate . The star, who is the face of Vince Camuto fragrances, wore a beige minidress with high gold heels.

And next to Ava and Deacon was Reese's son 13-year-old Tennessee Toth whom she shares with Jim Toth, a talent agent she was .

Jim was present as well as he wore a blazer and dark slacks with a shaved head. 

Missing from the festivities was the Oscar-winner's boyfriend of over one year, 58-year-old German financier Oliver Haarmann.

Witherspoon and Phillippe were seen saying hello to Hudson and her fiancé Fujikawa.

They exchanged warm hugs on the sidewalk outside Radio City Music Hall in Midtown Manhattan.

Witherspoon and Hudson have been pals for 35 years. The pair first met in 1991 at the premiere afterparty for Witherspoon's film debut, The Man in the Moon. 

Oscar nominee Hudson wore a dark green coat over a lighter green V-neck dress as she added pumps and sunglasses while carrying a purse.

The Almost Famous star's son Bingham Hawn Bellamy, whom she had with musician Matthew Bellamy, was spotted as well as he wore a white shirt, jeans and construction boots.

Matthew also was present as he wore a black coat and slacks and was seen saying a friendly hello to Fujikawa. 

And Hudson's daughter Rani Rose, whom she shares with her fiancé Fujikawa, looked cute in an ivory lace dress with a matching jacket, white stockings and strappy heels as she held on to a stuffed animal.

The Vogue favorite is They also have a 20-year-old son named Finn Burns.

Turlington - a top 1990s model who worked for Versace and Fendi - posted images from her college graduation.

The child wore a purple gown as she held onto flowers.

Mom wore an ivory blouse with beige skirt as she held a black purse. Dad Burns modeled a gray suit with a purple tie as he flashed a thumbs up.

'What a week - and what a milestone,' Turlington wrote. 'As a mother and as a parent, this moment feels profound. So many hopes and dreams for my firstborn are unfolding far sooner than I ever imagined.'

'There's a saying: educate a girl and you educate a nation,' she continued.
