Most recently, he raised eyebrows this week when - with fans questioning how that would have been physically possible for the 45-year-old singer.

Yet that is far from the only time he's left fans questioning his claims.

Ray J - who is the brother of singer Brandy - baffled fans in December when he begged for ‘food’ and a ‘place to stay tonight’ while saying he was hitchhiking from Tampa, , to .

Ray J  baffled fans in December when he begged for ‘food’ while saying he was hitchhiking shortly after his Thanksgiving arrest when he allegedly pulled a gun on his estranged wife Princess Love and issued violent threats during a livestream

'It’s real, and I’m all by myself. As you can see, nobody’s with me,' he said.

'I need some food and I need shelter. Just a lot of s*** that’s happened. And I just wanna get back home and see my kids.

‘It’s a hitchhiking show, but it’s real, though, at the same time, and I wanna make it really authentic. I just do it for real on my phone. I mean, I have a camera in there too, but it’s just me.’

In his caption, Ray J admitted that ‘Things got bad for me’ as he begged fans for ‘shelter and a little help.’

A separate clip showed Ray J at a casino with a woman - and claimed that he had only $800 left to his name.

The videos also were uploaded not long after his arrest on Thanksgiving when he allegedly pulled a gun on his estranged wife Princess Love and issuing violent threats.

According to records obtained by the Daily Mail at the time, the singer was arrested around 4:00am and booked on a felony charge of making criminal threats, described as 'terrorizing causing fear.'

Law enforcement also told TMZ that the incident had occurred at a residence in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Porter Ranch.

Police had responded to a call regarding a possible domestic disturbance involving threats.

Ray J was taken into custody and spent a few hours in jail before being released on a $50,000 bail.

The star had jumped into a Twitch livestream where he claimed he was having 'the worst Thanksgiving.' He went on to further claim that a person was attempting to take his children and that he was also being threatened.

During the stream, Ray J reportedly reached for a handgun which he seemingly loaded - with Princess Love later appearing in the clip while holding one of their kids.

She then accused the singer of pointing the gun at her and their daughter - which Ray J denied. A man would appear in the stream as well, which seemed to further escalate the incident.

Princess and Ray J married in 2016 at The Cathedral Of St. Vibiana, a Catholic church in Los Angeles.

Their relationship has not been smooth sailing, with the couple filing for divorce and promptly reconciling four times.

Ray J famously dated Kim Kardashian from 2003 until their split in 2006. The former couple filmed a notorious sex tape which was leaked in 2007.

Shortly before Thanksgiving, he with claims that they were all in on the infamous tape which was leaked.

But the Kardashians' lawyer lawyer Alex Spiro said in a statement to the Daily Mail: 'After realizing he is losing the case and losing his way, this disjointed rambling distraction is not intimidating anyone. Ray J will lose this frivolous case too.'

Ray J also says he dated Whitney Houston and was left devastated at her untimely passing, claiming they had planned to make their relationship public just before her death (pictured in 2008)

Amid his turbulent times, Ray J hasn't felt supported by his family, claiming his sister Brandy (pictured in 1999) and their parents are 'embarrassed' by him

Ray J also says he dated Whitney Houston and was left devastated at her untimely passing, claiming they had planned to make their relationship public just before her death.

Whitney died at the age of 48 by accidental drowning in her hotel room in 2012, with Ray J forced to deny he was there at the time of her death.

Speaking on the Funky Friday podcast he said of rumours: 'That’s the biggest cap I’ve ever heard. I’ve heard it since the beginning...

'I was nowhere to be found, and I hate talking about it because I have so much love for her. I’ve never seen her in that state.

'So to make me that person when I wasn’t even there and then to put murderer on top of that… it’s f***ed up....

'I’ve never done one drug with Whitney, and when people asked me, "Did Whitney do drugs?"… everybody knows certain answers.'

Amid his turbulent times, Ray J hasn't felt supported by his family, claiming his sister Brandy and their parents are 'embarrassed' by him.

Speaking on the Drop the Lo podcast last year, he said: 'I love my sister, but I’m an embarrassment to them. I never wanted to be accepted, I just feel like I’m an embarrassment.'

He previously said of their relationship: 'Brandy’s goals since the beginning have been totally different from [mine].

'As much as you know that we’re all together, some things I gotta, like, try to like stay over here. Lately even certain events I think they been having… I haven’t got the invite and I’m good with that.

'But I understand why. It’s just a lot of the s**t I’m doing now is just a little more left field, a little more outrageous, a little louder. A little more dramatic. A tad bit distasteful at times.'

Some of the 'distasteful' behaviour he could be referring to are his high profile feuds with other celebrities.

In 2011, it was claimed that Ray J and rapper Fabolous had a fistfight in Las Vegas. They have since made peace, but not before both parties claimed they won the fight.

While in 2023, he challenged Kodak Black to a fight after the rapper threatened to 'best his little a**' over comments Ray J had made about his appearance.

Disturbingly, in 2024 Ray J claimed he was 'shot at' by someone trying to kill him.

Ray J reportedly got into a fistfight with Diddy's sons, Christian 'King', Quincy and Justin (pictured in 2024) and two weeks later claimed he was shot at by an unnamed suspect

The Mississippi native sounded angry as he went off on his expletive-ridden tirade, which alluded to a feud with an unknown person or group of individuals.

Nowhere in the video did Ray J indicate who he believed shot at him or provide any further details about the incident or if it was reported to authorities.

The video came two weeks after an alleged fistfight with Diddy's sons, King Combs, Quincy Brown and Justin Dior Combs, outside of influencer Tara Electra's Unruly Agency Halloween bash in Los Angeles.

At the time, sources reported to TMZ that the rap mogul's sons confronted the singer about public comments Ray J made about Combs amid his legal troubles.

According to the outlet, the siblings surrounded Ray J and began getting in each other's faces and chest-bumping one another. The source reportedly made it clear that two of the sons, Justin and Christian, were ready and eager for a fight.

However, singer Chris Brown had seen everything from his car and rushed over. He defused the situation with Ray J's manager, David, by pulling the brothers away.

The outlet was also told others attempted to step in and help stop the scuffle, which resulted in no injuries.

The siblings had reportedly approached Ray J three times beforehand to discuss the singer's comments.

Ray J said that he was always open to having that conversation with Combs's sons but was willing to fight the three of them after they made disrespectful comments, TMZ reported.

The outlet also reported that Ray J still considers Diddy and his children family, but refused to let himself 'get punked' by 'little kids.'

It is unclear if the alleged shooting had any connection to Ray J's argument with Diddy's kids.

In recent months, Ray J has been focusing on his health after saying in January that he is on eight different medications and claiming he had less than one year left to live.

He shared a health update after he was rushed to the emergency room in  in January when he was experiencing chest pains and battling a severe case of .

In between promoting his reality shows, he dropped a bombshell on Instagram about his health and predicted that he does not have long to live.

At one point during the clip, he said: '2027 is definitely a wrap for me. That's what [the doctors] say.'

He said that he was told to take better care of his body following the health scare. 'I shouldn't have went this hard, bro,' he continued.

He also talked about what he wanted to leave behind for his estranged wife Princess Love and his children.

Ray J and the actress shared daughter Melody, who was born in 2018, and son Epik, who was born in 2020.

'My baby mama gonna be straight. My kids gonna be straight. If they wanna spend all the money, they can spend it. I did my part here.'

He continued: 'And d***, when it's all done, burn me. Don't bury me.'
