has made clear he approves of his new son-in-law as he branded him an 'absolute thoroughbred'.

The TV chef, 59, walked daughter Holly down the aisle at Bath Abbey last month amid a bitter feud which saw Adam's mother Caroline and father Mark disinvited and his sister Bethany the only relative in attendance.

Gordon has now commended the British Olympic swimmer for being a 'gent' and being so 'grounded' as he spoke to OK! Magazine in a new interview.

Gordon said: 'He's a gent, he's an absolute thoroughbred. Adam is so grounded. He's not walking out as Olympic champion with his head up his a****.

On the rift with Adam's parents, the chef added: 'It's just upsetting. It's all self-inflicted from their side because we've done nothing - none of which you've read, no rudeness, no ignorance - we welcomed them.

'We sent a chauffeur-driven car for them to come to the engagement party and treated them like royalty. So to get that barrage of press was very hurtful. Tana took it very seriously.'

Gordon Ramsay has made clear he approves of his new son-in-law Adam Peaty as he branded him an 'absolute thoroughbred'

The TV chef, 59, walked daughter Holly down the aisle at Bath Abbey last month amid a bitter feud which saw Adam's mother Caroline and father Mark disinvited

Gordon insisted it was not his decision to uninvite Adam's parents from the wedding and hopes that one day they can heal the rift by 'drawing a line in the sand'.

Elsewhere in the chat, the TV star admitted he 'always has that little needle of fear' that he will lose everything as he grew up on a council estate in Stratford-upon-Avon.

It comes as after he claimed their fallout with the swimmer was 'self-inflicted'.

Gordon previously told the Daily Mail that he and his wife Tana had 'done nothing wrong' and despite reports suggesting otherwise had treated the Peaty family 'like royalty'.

But one relative has claimed the Ramsay's denial was a pack of lies and said the TV chef had now 'pushed the family too far'.

They said: 'How bl***y dare they. The sheer gall of them'.

'The Ramsays did not treat Caroline like royalty at all – they treated her as though she was nothing. They ignored her existence and not once did Mrs Ramsay return any of Caroline's texts.'

They told The Sun: 'The get together lunch they promised on the day of the engagement never materialised either.'

It comes as Adam's estranged family reportedly branded Gordon a 'bully' after he claimed their fallout with the swimmer was 'self-inflicted'  (Adam pictured with his parents)

With Adam's parents not in attendance at the wedding, they stood alongside the groom in the photo with Gordon and Tana alongside Holly.

Adam is thought to have not mentioned his family or parents in his speech, instead praising his swim coach Mel Marshall for being his 'everything', and for 'grounding and inspiring' him.

The roots of the family conflict go back to September 2024, when Adam and Holly snubbed wider members of the Peaty family by not inviting them to their engagement party.

Caroline, who spent years ferrying her son to early–morning training sessions, was also not invited to Holly's glamorous hen do at Soho Farmhouse in the Cotswolds, even though the bride's mother, Tana, and friends including Victoria, were at the extravagant bash.
