Ganesh, 28, was confirmed for the reboot by on Wednesday, as she joins stars such as Emily Bader, Logan Lerman, , Taylor Ortega and Tim Meadows in the new incarnation of the 2004 movie.
Also announced for the rom-com for the streamer includes Myra Molloy, Nasim Pedrad, Taylor Zakhar Perez and Owen Thiele.
Ganesh said in an Instagram post Wednesday that she was 'flirty and thriving!!' as she linked to an article confirming her role in the film on the streamer, which has the star of the original film, , as an executive producer.
The new role comes after it was announced Ganesh would be exiting the HBO medical series after its second season, as her character Dr. Samira Mohan was written off the show in what sources described to Variety as 'a story-driven decision.'
Sources told the outlet that it has been as the facility the series is based on, Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center, is positioned as a 'teaching hospital.'

The Daily Mail has reached out to representatives for Ganesh for further comment on the story.

Speaking with the outlet the following month, Ganesh said she had been overwhelmed by the reaction from fans as news of her exit was confirmed.

The new role comes after it was announced Ganesh would be exiting the HBO medical series after its second season, as her character Dr. Samira Mohan was written off the show
'It's been so great just getting all the love from the fans,' Ganesh said. 'I feel sad for them, too, that they won't get to see this character.'
Wyle opened up about the turnover on the program while speaking at PaleyFest this past April.
He said, 'Emergency rooms have a high revolving door. As always, we try to bring in new characters or promote from within as we go through these cast changes and try to keep the story lines fresh.'

The actor-producer explained that the nature of the program meant a rotation of cast members as it continued.
'It’s an inevitability that’s going to happen every season with this show,' he said, 'because as writers we’re hard-pressed to figure out what a lapse of time we can have and keep most of the ensemble together realistically.'
He called Ganesh 'a huge part of our show since the beginning' and described her character Dr. Mohan as 'beloved.'
Wyle added, 'I love playing with her and working with Supriya, and we wish her all the best in her next endeavors, and we’re going to miss her.'
