Elon Musk says he will use his AI platform Grok to remake the hit film The Odyssey, after publicly criticizing the casting of Lupita Nyong'o and Elliot Page in ...
'Before this year ends, Grok Imagine will make a full-length movie of The Odyssey that is historically accurate and true to the art of Homer,' Musk, 55, said on his platform X on Wednesday.
Musk made the statement in response to an AI clip from Grok Imagine using dialogue from Homer's Odyssey, posted by the account @heavypulp.
The remarks from Musk come after he made multiple comments critical of Nolan's casting decisions for the adaptation, including Black actress Lupita Nyong'o playing Helen of Troy and star as Sinon.
Musk this past February said 'Nolan has lost his integrity' in reply to a post from an X user critical of Nyong'o's casting.
The user said that 'helen of troy was fair skinned, blonde, and "the face that launched a thousand ships," adding that 'casting choices that make the premise incoherent are admissions that the story was never the point and an insult to the author.'

The motion picture is an interpretation of the Greek poem from Homer detailing the King of Ithaca Odysseus (Matt Damon) when he comes back after the Trojan War.
The movie's cast also features Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson and Charlize Theron.

It has been a smashing success at the box office, generating in excess of $264 million upon its first weekend in theaters.
Musk's remarks about an AI remake were panned by actor Colman Domingo, who served as guest host of Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Wednesday.
Domingo said on the show, 'Now Elon Musk is planning to create what he calls a "historically accurate" version of The Odyssey, using his Grok AI - and by "historically accurate," he means whiter than Christmas at Cracker Barrel.'
He continued, 'This is all because Elon and his Musketeers are upset over the diversity casting of The Odyssey.
'And I don't wanna get technical here, but you can't make a historically accurate version of something that is totally made the f*** up - I mean, The Odyssey is fiction. You know, like The Hunger Games, or the president's cognitive exams.'
Domingo added, 'I mean come on, doesn't Elon Musk have better things to do? Wasn't this b**** supposed to be on Mars by now?'
