She told an astonished Ruby that he asked her out for a drink seven years later and she agreed to go, but soon left telling him he was 'boring' in an empowering moment

'He drove his car into the front of somebody's house and he came and smashed my driver's side window in and pulled me out. But I got a black eye and a smashed up face.'
She continued: 'Then, I got an injunction against him and seven years later, I saw him. I was going to my job when I worked in the knicker shop, dressed all like... Soho, you know, knickery, in the little pink outfit, feeling quite confident in the uniform.
'And I see this man drive past and he goes [waves passionately].
'Then he gets out and says can I take you for a drink after work? I feel like we need to clear it up.
'I said "yeah, I'd like to go". So I went to the drink and I let him speak and I didn't let him say very much and I asked him some questions.'
But Paloma said: 'His answers were kind of boring. And then I just said, "I am going to go now".
'And he said "Why?" And I said, "I find you quite boring". And it was the most amazing feeling. He couldn't believe it.'
Explaining why he was so taken aback, Paloma said to Ruby: 'People don't say that to you, do they? And he was like, "What do you mean?"
'I said, I just don't find you interesting and this isn't a good use of my time. And it felt like I conquered something.'
Paloma Faith famously separated from her husband and partner of a decade, French artist, Leyman Lahcine, in 2022, although he is not the ex she is referring to.
They have two daughters together.
She later welcomed her third child, a baby boy in March, with her partner, music venue director Stevie Thomas.
Paloma later shared a breastfeeding appreciation post as she opened up about her past struggles feeding her first two children.

Back in April, Paloma shared a breastfeeding appreciation post six months post partum as she opened up about her past struggles feeding her children
She wrote: 'I'm six weeks post partum and about to start training this week. I wanted to do a breast feeding post as it's a mixed bag for most and a bit of a head funk…..
'I've had three babies now. This one is BY FAR the easiest one to breast feed. This shows me that we should stop blaming ourselves for everything that may succeed or not.
'My first HURT LIKE MAD but I persevered for seven months through being stubborn and feeling so under pressure to do it.
'The second couldn't breathe and swallow with coordination and would scream at my breast.
'I exclusively pumped for 3 months and threw in the towel. It was liberating as I could. I then get on with just loving her after.'
Paloma has had more success with her son however, saying he 'latched immediately'.
'He knew what he was doing , he drained the breasts and I still got sore nipples and wanted to cry everytime but stuck with it and now it's relatively ok,' she wrote.
'I take fenugreek to keep my supply up / feed 4 hourly / pump twice a day (at the end of a morning feed and before I sleep at night) and I was very relaxed about it.
'I give him a bit of formula every day too so he doesn't reject the taste if I ever need to leave him in emergency (I have two other kids so need the belt and braces approach).
'I am not 'bouncing back' super fast because I don't think that would be too good for my milk production and frankly haven't I been through enough already? Hahahaah.
'I just wanted to come on here and shout out to the mums who manage to do it well and the ones who can't because I've been both and it's not just you that has to hold all the feelings of failure or success there are so many other factors.
'Let's give ourselves and each other a break because something ALWAYS gives whatever you decide to do. Go team mama !
'Thanks to @thisisyourbaby365 for all your help and advice with feeding and swollen ducts and the pain!'
