Olivia Rodrigo fans were sent wild on Thursday as it was confirmed that more tickets for her Australian Guts tour were set to be release.

Many fans were left gutted after missing out on tickets when the American pop star’s eight shows around Australia all quickly sold out in last month’s general sale.

However, they were given a second chance to get their hands on tickets when Live Nation confirmed a ‘small number’ of additional seats would be up for grabs.

The entertainment company took to Instagram to share a post confirming that a few ‘limited view’ tickets would be made available.

The tickets are set to go on sale at 3pm on Thursday June 6, with Live Nation giving fans a mere one hour’s notice amid sky-high demand for the concerts.

Confirming the news, they penned: ‘A small number of limited view tickets will be released to Olivia Rodrigo’s GUTS world tour Sydney and Melbourne shows. Tickets on sale today at 3PM.’

The post sent fans completely wild as those who missed out on tickets in the general sale shared their hopes of being able to get some the second time around.

In the comments section, one fan wrote: ‘Please I need these so badly,’ while another said: ‘Omggg!!’

Many other fans eagerly tagged their friends as they spread the word about the shock news of the last-minute extra ticket sale.

It is not known how many tickets are available in the additional sale as Aussies desperately tried to nab a chance at seeing Olivia’s first tour Down Under.

Fans went to extreme lengths to get their hands on tickets for her much-awaited Guts tour, after she cancelled a promotional tour Down Under late last year.

Some eager fans queued up for as long as 12 hours at the Ticketek box office in Sydney for the general sale last month as they tried to beat the online frenzy.

One mega-fan took to TikTok to share a video allegedly showing the huge group of determined concertgoers who lined up in person ahead of the general sale.

She told how she woke up at 12.45am to head to Ticketek’s agency office at Penrith Panthers Leagues Club to queue up for tickets in a 12-hour long wait.

The fan claimed the first person arrived to queue at 11pm the night before the sale, with a very long wait until tickets finally went on general sale at 1pm on May 16.

She later shared an update in the comments excitedly confirming she got tickets, but said many people in the queue were left disappointed after not nabbing any.

A record-breaking 4million people waited in an online queue in a bid to get tickets for Taylor’s 2024 shows, prompting the Ticketek app to completely crash.

Olivia is set to take to the stage for eight shows in Melbourne and Sydney in October, after she added additional dates amid sky-high demand for tickets.

She originally announced that she would be performing at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on October 9 and 10, but then went on to add October 13 and 14.

Olivia will also take to the stage at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena on October 21 and 22, as well as her originally scheduled shows on October 17 and 18.
