Back in December, it was reported the singer, 23, and the British actor, 22, split after more than two years together.

Now she has a brand new album on the way called 'you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love', and fans are desperate to know if any of her new songs will give an insight into their relationship or breakup.

In a new interview with Cosmopolitan, Olivia confirmed she was in her 'friendship love' era and has been starting to date again.

The star was interviewed by her close friend Madison Hu for the publication's Beauty Issue, when she was asked 'what phase of love she's in right now'.

Olivia replied: 'I'm in the most important phase, the friendship love that I'm sitting right across from. Best friend, community love. Dating is just the cherry on top.'
