Norways WAGs: Models, Skiers, and Lawyers Unite!

Looking to stop England's run to the World Cup final when they meet in Miami tonight, Norway's football team will be hoping for a dream win to put themselves into the semi-finals.

But behind the likes of , Sander Berge and Kristian Thorstvedt are a whole host of dedicated wives and girlfriends ready to cheer on their loved ones from the stands.

Lawyers, former professional athletes and influencers are all expected to brave the heat in and join thousands of Norway fans in the stands to roar their team on. 

They'll be facing fierce competition for the spotlight, however, with England's own WAGs set to be out in force.

At any international game, they often steal the limelight with their choices in fashion, strong shows of support and family get-togethers on the sidelines.

But Norway's WAGs will certainly look to rival their English counterparts, having already brought notable glamour and excitement throughout the tournament. 

Isabel Haugseng Johansen - Erling Haaland

The most recognisable face amongst Norway's WAGs this evening will be Isabel Haugseng Johansen, 22, long-time girlfriend of the team's superstar striker Erling Haaland, 25. 

England fans may already be familiar with Johansen from her partner's time at Manchester City, where he has played since 2022.

The pair first met as children in their hometown, Bryne, with both training at the same football academy.

Their friendship evolved into romance and they have been together ever since.

Johansen was formerly a footballer herself but has now turned to modelling and influencing on social media.

She landed her first major cover with Norway's KK magazine last month, and posts about fashion, football and travel on Instagram.

She and Haaland welcomed their first child in December 2024.

Helene Spilling Ødegaard - Martin Ødegaard

Norway's Martin Ødegaard, 27, is far from the only star in his household, with Helene Spilling Ødegaard, 30, making the other half of what is one of the country's most popular power couples.

A professional dancer, Spilling Ødegaard shot to fame when she won Norway's version of Strictly Come Dancing in 2021.

She has won 17 national gold medals for ballroom dancing, and also represents Norway on the international competition circuit. 

As well as her busy competition schedule and regular TV appearances, she has also launched her own dance studio and fashion brand.

The multi-talented couple married in 2024 and had a son in December of that year. 

Hedda Tveit - Henrik Falchener

Swapping the slopes for the football pitch is Hedda Tveit, 23, girlfriend of defender Henrik Falchener, 23.

Tveit is a former professional skier who attended a specialist sports school and went on to compete at a national level.

But she has since left the sport behind and now works in sports management. 

She was based in Oslo but, after completing her degree, she has now moved to join Falchener in Stavanger. 

Sara Pedersen - Morten Thorsby

Next up on the WAG bench this evening is Sara Pedersen, girlfriend of Morten Thorsby, 30.

Pedersen is a high-flying lawyer specialising in commercial law, with an impressive career of her own.

She has been a fixture of Norway's most ardent supporters throughout the tournament, despite her comparatively private presence on social media. 

Pedersen and Thorsby only went public with their relationship last year, although it is not known how long they have been together.

They married in May in a small ceremony in Pedersen's home town of Ålesund, just days before Thorsby jetted off to prepare for the World Cup.

Mille Fusdahl - Kristian Thorstvedt

Midfielder Kristian Thorstvedt, 27, will be cheered on tonight by his partner Mille Fusdahl, 30.

The digital marketer from Oslo lives in Italy alongside her boyfriend, who plays for Sassuolo.

She moved to Modena after the pair spent three years long-distance while he played for the Italian club.

Fusdahl made the first move on Thorstvedt, approaching him herself after seeing a video of him playing football.

He has spoken previously about how important her support has been throughout his career. 

Julie Karlsen - Sander Berge

Former skier Julie Karlsen, 27, is attached to midfielder Sander Berge, 28.

She is a very private person, rarely sharing details of her life and only occasionally posing with her partner on holidays or at events.

It is thought they first got together in 2021, and they welcomed their first child last year.

Karlsen has still been posting plenty of snaps from the World Cup though, and is due to watch her partner take on England from 10pm BST. 

Lena Selnes - Alexander Sørloth

Striker Alexander Sørloth, 30, is being supported in Miami by his girlfriend of more than ten years, Lena Selnes.

The couple first met in 2015 when Selnes was a student and have two children together, although they keep most details of their lives away from the limelight.

Selnes studied at university to become a kindergarten teacher, although currently spends her time as a stay-at-home mother in Madrid. 

The family has moved around to support Sørloth's career, including spending time in Germany, Spain and Turkey.

Selnes, 30, has been joined in cheering on the Vikings by Sørloth's younger sister Amelie. 

Aurora Eidmann - Leo Skiri Østigård

Defender Leo Skiri Østigård, 26, had a unique experience with his partner already this World Cup, when he was forced to watch the birth of his first child over FaceTime.

Wife Aurora Eidmann, 26, gave birth to their son last month.

Eidmann likes to stay out of the limelight, with little known about her life.

But Østigård's commitment to her was on show for the world to see when he scored in Norway's opening match against Iraq in Boston, and celebrated by forming the letter A with his hands.

His team later serenaded him with a rendition of 'Daddy Cool'.
