The Oscar winner, 35, who is naturally blonde, was sporting a rich, espresso-brown hair color that set off her fair complexion to perfection.
Her luxurious locks were piled on top of her head in a casual updo with long bangs falling past her brows. With the warm temperatures and the humidity in the Big Apple right now, removing the weight of her hair off her neck and shoulders made sense.
Lawrence was comfortably dressed in a blue print T-shirt and white maxi skirt paired with sandals as she made her way down the sidewalk.
While the A-lister often transforms her look for movie roles to fully immerse herself in a character, it's not known if her brunette locks were for work or just personal preference.
Lawrence, a mother of two who was born early last year, dyed her hair a dark brown to play the free-spirited Tiffany Maxwell in Silver Linings Playbook (2012), which garnered her the Academy Award for Best Actress.

Busy as she is, Lawrence, who has a son, Cy, four, with husband Cooke Maroney, 42, and gave birth to her second baby boy in early 2025, regards herself more as a stay-at-home mom.
'That's me. I identify as a stay-at-home mom, but I am obviously working,' she said on the SmartLess podcast in January.
'I'm not used to being busy like this. I normally have a busy three months while I'm filming, but even in that sense, it's calm because there is nothing else to do.
'I just go to work, I do that, I come home, I sleep, and then I do it again. And then, like, two weeks while you promote. It is hectic.'
