Mick Jagger Honors LWren Scott on Birthday

has wished his late girlfriend L'Wren Scott a happy birthday 12 years on from her death.

The rocker shared a beautiful picture of L'Wren on his Instagram Story on Wednesday with the words: 'Happy birthday L'Wren.' 

The image showed her flashing a beautiful beaming smile as she posed for the photgraph. 

Mick shares a picture of stylist L'Wren every year to show how she is still very much in his thoughts.    

The stylist - who was in a relationship with the rocker for over a decade - was found dead in her New York flat while Mick was on tour with his legendary band in March 2014. She was aged 49. 

L'Wren - real name Laura Bambrough - established a successful high-end fashion label, which served as a favourite among A-list celebrities such as Madonna, Julia Roberts, Nicole Kidman, and Naomi Campbell. 

However, following the news of her death, it emerged her business had been experiencing financial problems.

Mick is in a long-term relationship with ballerina Melanie Hamrick, 32, with whom he shares son Deveraux, age nine.

In 2014, Mick was diagnosed with acute traumatic stress disorder in the wake of L’Wren Scott’s death, court papers revealed.

Shortly after her death, the belter posted a statement on his loss to his official website.

The Kent native said: 'I am still struggling to understand how my lover and best friend could end her life in this tragic way.'

'We spent many wonderful years together and had made a great life for ourselves. She had great presence and her talent was much admired, not least by me.

'I have been touched by the tributes that people have paid to her and also the personal messages of support that I have received. I will never forget her… Mick.'
