Megan Fox Returns for Jennifers Body Sequel!

is reportedly set to reprise one of her most iconic roles.

According to Dread Central, Fox is on board for the long-awaited sequel to her 2009 horror hit Jennifer's Body.

Karyn Kusama, who directed the first film, and writer Diablo Cody are also back to helm the sequel.

It's unclear if original star will be back, or if it will just be Fox headlining the sequel.

The original film follows high school cheerleader Jennifer (played by Fox), who is sacrificed to Satan by a struggling indie rock band in a botched ritual that leaves her possessed by a succubus.

She then becomes a man-eating demon who feeds on her male classmates.

Seyfried plays her nerdy best friend Anita, who figures out the truth and eventually tries to destroy Jennifer.

The film is notorious for its violence and sexuality, with the most iconic scene being a passionate kiss between Fox and Seyfried.

But despite its star-studded cast and the clout of Juno writer Cody, Jennifer's Body was a critical and commercial failure when it hit theatres in 2009.

However, it has since undergone a critical reevaluation and is now considered a cult classic, especially among horror fans and feminists.

In a 2019 interview to celebrate the film's 10th anniversary, Fox said that she shortly after Jennifer's Body was released.

'There was a time when it was painful for me to talk about Jennifer's Body, because you know,' Cody told Entertainment Tonight.

'That movie was a commercial failure and I was savaged personally. It wasn't just having a professional failure,' she continued, adding that she went to therapy over the backlash the movie received.

According to Production Weekly (via Dread Central), Jennifer's Body 2 will start filming in Vancouver in October.
