Marty Sheargold has announced a shock career move, one year after his show was axed by Triple M

On Tuesday, the disgraced presenter, 54, revealed he would be getting his own radio segment on 's The Show.

He shared a photo of himself beaming alongside Chrissie, 52, and her newsreader Jack Charles at the Nova studio in  on Instagram, and confirmed the news in the caption. 

'Listen to Marty Sheargold on The Chrissie Swan Show. Find it wherever you get your podcasts,' he wrote.

The outspoken host will be presenting a segment called 'The Red Card', in which he discusses 'the old days of radio'.

'One seriously sexist and offensive joke ended it all,' Langdon said of Marty's once-prolific career.

'Marty Sheargold's crude sledge of our national women's soccer team offended many people - me included.'

In the sit-down Marty told interviewer Steve Marshall that people need to get over it.

When Marshall asked Marty if his initial public apology was sincere, he replied: 'To that playing group and the extended group of the Matildas? Yeah, I apologise,' he said.

'But to people that are offended by that on the outside of that group. Come on.'
