Reflecting on her first TV gig on Instagram, she shared: 'The noughties! Where it all began… at 23, I was the @channel5_tv weather girl.
'For six years I was doing three forecasts a day, Monday to Friday, interviewing Hollywood stars in between (plus the odd gadget review as tech was my hobby), what a way to spend your 20s!
'So many memories… Tom Cruise rubbing my hands to keep them warm whilst I interviewed him on the red carpet, 'the weather girl of Channel Five' becoming a character on a prime time ITV comedy show (I think I played the part quite well ;)), and surprisingly spotting myself in a Hollywood movie… the list goes on.
'And I made some friends for life at @c5news, what a team we were.'
Throughout the years, Lara has appeared on Big Brother's Big Mouth, The Weakest Link, and Let's Dance For Sports Relief.
She also made a surprising cameo in the 2006 film Superman Returns, starring as a weather presenter.
She faced a career blowback in 2024 when her BBC show Click was axed after more than 24 years on air.

In an emotional statement at the time, Lara announced on X: Here's to the future… some PERSONAL NEWS: After 15 years of covering some of the greatest technology on earth, sadly, in a few months, BBC Click will gaze into the future no more.
'I've many exciting plans, documentaries to finish, being AI agony aunt on @lorraine and a compelling future health tech-related project coming next year.
'The BBC gave us an amazing opportunity to cover the tech that has, and will transform our lives, in ways we could never have imagined.

'It is a shame to see our dear show come to an end at this moment of AI transformation and incredible acceleration in innovation and possibility, but such are the economic constraints.'
But she didn't take the cut to heart too much, with Lara venturing onto bigger and better things.
Last year, Lara appeared on Davina McCall's Begin Again podcast, where she championed the use of AI and how it could benefit healthcare for the better.
She boasts 49,000 followers on Instagram, where she posts about her work accolades and often gushes over her husband.
Just last week, the mother-of-one shared a sweet tribute to Martin after his BAFTA TV honour.
HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to my husband, @martinlewismse, for the incredible accolade of winning the #BAFTA Television Special Award. Couldn't be prouder.
'What an incredible night. We were also sat surrounded by the cast of the brilliant Adolescence, so caught a quick shot with @stephengraham1973. And momentarily held the trophy, which I have to report is very heavy.'
The couple are said to be worth a combined £123million.
Nearly a decade after setting up MoneySavingExpert, Lewis sold it to MoneySupermarket for a cool £87million - effectively setting the couple up for life.
Martin previously admitted that his wife is the tougher one when it comes to finances and Sapphire, telling The Sunday Times during lockdown that he struggles not to be a cash-splashing dad.

He said: 'When my daughter was born, I remember saying: 'I'll buy her everything she needs, but not everything she wants'. Unfortunately, I didn't factor in her special power. Those eyes.'
He added of Sapphire, whom he calls 'mini MSE': 'I'm helpless and usually resort to saying, 'Ask mummy', because mummy is stronger than me. We don't splurge on her, but one of my greatest joys is making her happy'.
Martin hit back at a cruel troll back in 2021 after one fan accused Lara of being a 'gold digger'.
A fan wrote on X: '#MartinLewis What first attracted you to the millionaire Martin Lewis… comes to mind…'
Martin was quick to respond: 'I know you think it’s a joke, but actually it’s offensive both to me and my wife – you’re accusing her of being a gold digger.
'We’ve been together for 15 [years], since way before MSE was out big (sic). And the mutual support and love we give each other is part of where we both are now.'
Lara continues to focus on her successful broadcasting career rather than sitting pretty in the couple's swish London home, which boasts a TV studio so Lewis can broadcast from home.
