It was designed by Charles DuBois and built by the Alexander Company. 

It has also been remodeled with respect to preserve the original architectural elements to keep that old mid-century charm.

On August 4, 1962, Monroe died at age 36 of an overdose of barbiturates at her Los Angeles home. Her death was ruled a probable suicide

Then came leading roles in Niagara, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, How to Marry a Millionaire, The Seven Year Itch, The Prince and the Showgirl, and Some Like It Hot. Her last completed film was the drama The Misfits in 1961.

She was wed to Joe DiMaggio and Arthur Miller.
