has his eye on purchasing ARN if he's sacked, according to an insider. 

As the shock jock's future at The Kyle and Jackie O show remains in limbo after 's departure, Sandilands, 54, reportedly said he intends to buy up KIIS FM and the entirety of the Australian Radio Network, Sandilands' former boss Craig Bruce claimed on Sunday. 

Bruce, who was previously program director at 2DayFM during Kyle and Jackie's reign at the station, said in an Instagram post from his Game Changers Radio page that Sandilands . 

'Update. Kyle Sandilands will be back on the air on Wednesday, if he's not . And he reckons he's going to get sacked on Tuesday,' Bruce said. 

'This is intel. I got a DM last night from a listener who was at the Idol auditions and so he said that to either a crowd of people or to a few people [that he] has a plan. 

'If he's sacked on Tuesday, he's going to buy the network.'

Bruce added: 'He's either , that's according to Kyle Sandilands himself. The plot thickens.'

It's unclear if Sandilands made the comments seriously or in jest.    

It comes after news that there may be drama on Tuesday's episode of Australian Idol.

The reality series enters the finals on Sunday, which are aired live, and Tuesday's episode will be broadcast just hours after the deadline for Sandilands' two-week suspension passes.

Australian Radio Network (ARN) provided written notice to Sandilands stating it considers his behaviour during The Kyle & Jackie O Show on February 20 to be 'an act of serious misconduct that is in breach of ARN's service agreement with Quasar Media.'

He was suspended and given 14 days to 'remedy' the breach, or else he faces termination.

Prior to the finals, Australian Idol was pre-recorded, with Sandilands absent for five episodes, replaced by fill-in judge Jessica Mauboy.

However, Sandilands will be front and centre for the live finals alongside fellow judges Marcia Hines and Amy Shark.
