As the radio world is shaken by the collapse of The Kyle & Jackie O Show, some bizarre fan theories have emerged about what is really happening behind the scenes.
The chief of all is the wild belief that the career-ending bust-up between long-time friends and colleagues and is completely fake.
Listeners have flocked online to speculate whether the duo or KIIS FM have fabricated the conflict to get out of the $200 million ten-year contract they signed in 2023.
'That's one way to rip up a contract and then start a new radio show somewhere else,' one person wrote online after the news broke.
'They've been getting low ratings - maybe this was an easy way to get rid of them off air?' a second said.
'This is blatant face saving by the network to stop bleeding tens of millions of $$$ due to their failed venture into ,' another noted.

'I bet both wanted out. Best way to walk out of a contract,' said someone else, while another wrote: 'Good way to get rid of their 10 year contract with KIIS.'
Others wondered if the conflict and subsequent termination of Henderson's contract was a way to 'save money' in a 'dying industry'.
'It's no secret that their ratings in Melbourne are very poor and ARN have spent an absolute fortune on contracting them in an industry that is dying,' they added.
Meanwhile, some believed it was a way for Henderson, 51, and Sandilands, 54, to finally go their separate years after 25 years of working together.
'I can't help but feel this is just them going out on their own terms with a big dramatic ending,' one person wrote.

'Do you think he [Sandilands] wanted his contract cancelled so he can go elsewhere?' added another.
'My instincts tell me that after they failed in Melbourne they also lost listeners in Sydney,' theorised someone else.
'The show was going downhill so they concocted this drama so as to save face and "quit" and have a dramatic fall out rather than the embarrassment of being taken off air due to ratings.'
