Grace Matthews, 19, appeared on 's show The Piano after her application for the hit show was endorsed by a music therapist at Addenbrooke's Hospital where she was treated.
Vernon and his Celebrity Gogglebox co-stars couldn't contain their emotions as they watched Grace's remarkable performance.
He said: 'Go on Grace, jeez', before breaking down in tears.
and his daughter Honey, 29, were incredibly moved by Grace's performance.
'Oh my god, I feel so emotional', Honey said.
Reflecting on the performance, Ellie Simmonds explained: 'What people perceive to be how it has to be, it can be done so differently. She is breaking down barriers.'

Jake Shears added: 'It's getting me all teary'.
His sofa co-star Josh Homme continued: 'This is where you're like, the world is full of magic. No matter what is going on in the world, it's out there.'

singer, 39, and the former cricketer, 40, were the latest stars to join the line-up of celebrities.
'Hey, it's Mollie and Stuart. We have been on the sofa watching loads of TV, The Good, The Bad And The Ugly', they announced.
Mollie said: 'Getting to do Celebrity Gogglebox with Stuart was such a lovely experience.

'Between juggling busy schedules, there's nothing I enjoy more than switching off together in front of the TV, so it felt really special to share a little bit of that with viewers.
'We had so many laughs filming it and, although I can't promise we agreed on every programme, we had the best time.'
Stuart Broad added: 'Celebrity Gogglebox was a genuinely enjoyable experience and a chance to show what Mollie and I are really like when the remote control is up for grabs.
'We had plenty of opinions, a few disagreements and a lot of laughs along the way.'
Celebrity Gogglebox returns to Channel 4 Friday 17th July at 9pm.
