This is the moment former Southern Charm star Kathryn Dennis, 32, was involved in a hit-and-run outside a South Carolina elementary school, when her car was seen blowing through a police officer directing traffic during the busy morning drop-off.
Video obtained exclusively by DailyMail.com, captured by Whitesville Elementary School’s surveillance camera and seen here for the first time today, clearly shows the incident which took place on October 20, 2023.
In the grainy footage, Dennis’s black Ford Bronco SUV can be seen speeding across the screen, blasting past 40-year-old Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office corporal Michelle Ward and knocking her stop-sign from her hand.
The officer sustained minor injuries from the shocking incident after which Dennis did not stop but instead fled the scene.

Now, footage of a hit-and-run incident Dennis was allegedly involved in last October, when her car was seen speeding through a school crossing in Moncks Corner, South Carolina, has been revealed for the first time by DailyMail.com
The footage has emerged just days after it was revealed Dennis was arrested for driving under the influence following a three-car-collision in Goose Creek, South Carolina on Monday.
According to booking documents Dennis appeared to be impaired and had ‘glossy eyes and an odor of alcohol coming from her person.’
The troubled former Bravo reality show star was also booked for driving with an open container.
Dennis was not arrested for the earlier incident which took place last fall, but images obtained by DailyMail.com show that she was later named as a suspect in the hit-and-run.
Police officers visited her home in Monck’s Corner, South Carolina, where they took pictures of her dirty and damaged Bronco.
According to Ward she was, ‘directing traffic at the entrance of the school,’ when she noticed a vehicle traveling through the school zone and ‘not slowing down.’

School resource officer deputy Michelle Ward confirmed she was the victim of the hit-and-run by reposting the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office accident report on her Facebook account at the time
In a statement taken by the South Caroline Highway Patrol investigator, Ward said: ‘I blew on my whistle and stepped to the left to get out of the vehicle’s way.
‘As I stepped to the left, the vehicle drove past me, striking me on the right side. The stop sign broke in my hand and landed in the roadway.’
The officer added that the driver – identified as a female with dirty blonde hair – neither slowed down nor attempted to avoid her as she careened in her direction.
Ward took to Facebook in the aftermath of the incident to confirm her involvement and told followers that she was ‘sore but good’ after the SUV ‘hurt my hand.’
She told one commenter: ‘It wasn’t part of the plan for my day. I was a bit p***ed as well.’
She was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police images show several large dents caused by her collision with officer Ward’s stop sign as well as a wing-mirror shorn of its casing.
All, clear evidence of the force with which Dennis’s vehicle hit the cop.
According to the incident report filed Dennis’s vehicle was ‘traveling South [when] a traffic control officer was directing traffic for an elementary school.’

She then ‘failed to stop.’
Dennis first appeared on Southern Charm as the on-again-off again partner of Thomas Ravenel with whom she ultimately had two children, Kensington ‘Kensie’ Calhoun, 9, and St Julien ‘Saint’ Rembert, 7.
The couple were notorious for their tumultuous relationship which ended in 2018 when he was struck with sexual assault charges by three different women.
A protracted custody dispute followed which saw Dennis lose custody last February and her alleged substance abuse issues come to the forefront, along with other ugly allegations.
Dennis, 32, entered rehab in 2016 after failing a drug test during her custody battle with her ex.
Acknowledging a dependence on marijuana to deal with stress and depression, Dennis entered a 30-day rehab program in Malibu in June of 2016, according to court papers.
According to court filings, she was suffering from cannabis abuse, alcoholism, amphetamine use disorder, self-harm and major depression.
An incident report obtained by DailyMail.com lists Dennis as the owner of the vehicle but the driver as ‘unknown’ since she was not stopped nor arrested at the time of the collision
The granddaughter of Senator Rembert Coney Dennis, Kathryn joined Southern Charm in 2014 and left the series in early 2023

In July 2018, following a recovery period, she was granted 50/50 custody.
But in October 2018 she filed for sole custody of the children in the wake of sexual assault allegations made against Ravenel by the couple’s former nanny, Dawn Ledwell. He ultimately plead guilty to third-degree assault charges.
As Dennis fought for custody against Ravenel, ugly allegations against her emerged.
In January 2019 court documents, Ravenel claimed Dennis ‘abuses prescription drugs, is engaged in the use of illegal drugs, and consumes alcohol in combination thereof regularly.
Dennis also had another brush with the law at age 20, when she was arrested for underage drinking and disorderly conduct.
The star, an original cast member who announced her departure from the show after eight seasons in January 2023, now has supervised visitation every other Saturday and Sunday.
