Katherine Ryan gifts daughter £30k sparkly car!

 bought her daughter 17-year-old Violet a sparkly £30k car for her birthday on Thursday as the teen proudly posed in front of her new wheels. 

The comedian, 42, took to Instagram to share a snap of her with the Ford Puma which had been wrapped in a specialist purple glittery shade.

Katherine penned in the caption: 'The Favourite is 17. 'I've been proud of you, Violet since before you could roll over and look at you now! Singing, acting, dancing, writing, working, LIVING LAUGHING LOVING slaying.

'More charming and tougher and smarter and better than I am in every way HALLELUJAH (car wrap b6 @magic_automotive is actually a different colour but we didn't want to show it until the police reports come rolling in).

'YOU TRY DRIVING IN PLATFORMS. Love you so much xx'

Violet - who Katherine shares with an ex partner - looked delighted as she posed with her new car in a pink vest top and shorts.

Other snaps in the album were sweet throwback images of her when she was younger. 

Katherine also shares Fred, five, daughter Fenna, three, and daughter Holland, eight months, with her husband Bobby Kootstra.

Back in February Katherine broke her years-long silence on Violet's father as she claimed he 'never pays for anything', hardly makes contact and 'never makes any sacrifices' for her.

The star, who has never disclosed the identity of Violet's father, tore into him as she admitted she no longer feels the need to bite her tongue since Violet is old enough to 'see for herself'.

'I've been careful never to s**g him off just because I don't think it's the right thing to do,' Katherine said on the Juicy Scoop With Heather McDonald podcast.

'And I really protected him while my daughter was young. I would never say anything bad about him.

'But now she's 16, she can see for herself that unfortunately, he's not a bad person, but he's never made any sacrifices, never paid anything for her, just kind of texts her, which I think is bread crumbing.

'Like, 'Hey, love you. How are you?' Which is better than no contact. But he hasn't been the type of dad that you would want for your daughter.'

When asked directly if he is involved in Violet's life, she replied, 'Not really.'
