Kate Gosselin's estranged son Collin sends warning to her ahead of the release of his tell-all memoir

Jon & Kate Plus 8 alum sent a warning to his estranged mother Kate ahead of the publishing of his memoir, In the Shadow of Eight: Surviving the Reality of My Childhood.

The 22-year-old former child star reposted a headline about the 51-year-old nurse 'spiraling' over his 304-page tell-all, and he blurred her face.

Collin captioned his Instagram story with a fan comment: 'What's done in darkness will always come to light.'

The Daily Mail has contacted representatives for Kate Gosselin for comment and has yet to hear back.

Grand Central Publishing is set to release the Gosselin Pressure Washing owner's highly-anticipated literary debut on October 13.

In it, Collin will detail Kate's alleged child abuse including injuring his ear, zip-tying his hands and feet together, locking him in a basement room under surveillance and admitting him to the Fairmount Behavioral Health System in Philadelphia for 22 months spanning 2016-2018 as reported by The US Sun in 2024.

Gosselin has denied his allegations. 

'Kate had no idea this book was in the works,' an insider told the last Friday.

'Collin hasn't spoken to his mother since she abandoned him in an institution as a young child. She didn't expect any of this to ever come out. Now she's spiraling because she knows it's about to hit the fan.'

All of the alleged abuse happened after the 'stay-at-home dog mom' ended her acrimonious decade-long marriage to Jon in 2009 when she gained primary custody of all eight children and starred in six seasons of the rebranded Kate Plus 8.
