Kate Cassidy Dumped for Comparing Boyfriend to Liam

's girlfriend Kate Cassidy has revealed she has been dumped by her new boyfriend after constantly comparing him to the late star.

Influencer Kate, 27, dated One Direction star Liam for two years up until he died in October 2024 at the age of 31 after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina, with  and cocaine found in his system. 

She has recently been teasing a new romance but has now revealed: 'I've been broken up with.'

Kate shared her love life update in a TikTok video just days .

'I got dumped you guys,' Kate told her 1.8million followers. 'I have been super MIA on here about my updated dating situation, that is because I recently met someone.'

'I feel like things were moving super fast, if you know me you know I have a tendency of moving fast,' she explained before revealing more about her mystery man.

'Let's just call this guy Joe. Joe was really sweet and a lot of things I wanted in a guy. He's super low-key so he doesn't have any social media, which I actually really liked.'

'I met his family, he took me on trips, things were going really well, really quick.  I f**ked up.'

The new romance comes 20 months after Liam's death with Kate admitting: 'Dating after losing somebody that you genuinely thought you were going to spend the rest of your life with is really tough because I physically look for Liam in every single guy that I meet.

'If they don't hit all the checkmarks I tend to, either back away or almost resent this person, and it's so crazy.'

She then said she found herself comparing her new man to Liam. 'There were certain times where I would get so angry with this guy, because I would physically get like "oh well Liam would do this so why aren't you doing this?"

'Or he would do something and I would be like, "Liam would never do that". He texted me yesterday and told me we should go our separate ways because it's just too much, and I understand.

'I feel sad because I don't like losing people and I feel like especially in the beginning of a situationship it's so fun and you're so excited to see where it goes.'

Earlier this month Kate dropped a huge hint she'd found love with a new partner, sharing a video of a handsome man carrying her in his arms.

Kate captioned the post: 'I love having a crush', before teasing on the video: 'When you know you know.' 

In another video shared this week, two days before her breakup post, she enjoyed a double date with a friend. The video was captioned: 'POV you and your friend are carrying the double date.' 

Kate's social media is also littered with tributes to Liam, with one post this week showing a photo of the two cuddled up alongside the caption 'never gonna find nobody better all my life... love you 4eva'.

It was revealed last week that Liam's son Bear will inherit all of the star’s £21million fortune.

Newly released probate documents lodged with the High Court detail how the troubled pop star’s estate can be used immediately to ‘benefit’ Bear Grey Payne, whose mother is singer .

The new documents also revalue the size of Liam’s estate and discloses that it is worth a net figure around £2.3million less than its given value on May 1 last year.

The decrease could be due to a reduction in the value of the singer’s assets or even a payout to Kate, although sources had previously indicated the US cocktail bar waitress would not be claiming any of his money.

Liam did not leave a will when he fell to his death at the Casa Sur Hotel in the Argentine capital of Buenos Aires on October 16, 2024.
