Wearing a gold cross usually represents a person's Christian faith or cultural connection to Christianity, but it may also be worn as a meaningful memento, a fashion accessory, or both.

The cross has recently been prominently displayed by some far-right extremists and MAGA supporters in the US, who often use it to signal their Christian faith and group identity.

Stefanovic has not made statements about personal religious beliefs, so there is no public evidence to suggest that he is particularly religious.

Back in 2017, when Stefanovic faced backlash , the former TV star was spotted wearing a red string around his wrist.

A red string is known as a Kabbalah bracelet, which is a traditional Jewish talisman, and is intended to deflect negative energy, ward off the evil eye, and bring good luck.

However, in 2015, in an interview with The Daily Telegraph, Stefanovic said that he wore a red bracelet from his daughter Willow.

'It was a gift from my daughter. It’s a bracelet that says love. A lot of people think it’s Kabbalah. It’s not … Not that there’s anything wrong with mystic Judaism,' he stated.

It's a fresh blow to Stefanovic after it was confirmed he had left the Today show and Channel Nine last week .

Stefanovic had appeared on just two episodes of the three-hour Friday show, broadcast across ARN's Gold radio network, before becoming embroiled in the controversy.

According to the Australian Financial Review, sources revealed the network made the decision to end their relationship this week.

Stefanovic's contract was worth approximately $200,000 for the rest of the year.

McGuire will reportedly continue to host the radio show without him.

Meanwhile, shock jock Kyle Sandilands has registered 'Kyle and Karl' websites.

The domain names appear to point to a potential partnership between Sandilands and Stefanovic quietly taking shape behind the scenes.

The IP addresses for kyleandkarl.com.au and karlandkyle.com.au were registered to Sandilands' company, King Kyle Group Pty Ltd.

In 2024, King Kyle also registered themorningmen.com.au and morningmen.com.au - another hint at a potential collaboration with Stefanovic.

'It is something they've been talking about for a while,' a source close to the duo told The Daily Telegraph.

Sandilands - who recently settled with his former employer ARN for $12 million - has apparently been keeping in close contact with Stefanovic since his departure from Nine last week.

The Daily Mail has reached out to Stefanovic, ARN and Sandilands for comment.
