Jennifer Lopez: Rebuilding After Ben Affleck Split

has revealed a major life change she went through after leaving  in 2024.

When on the podcast Smartless, the 56-year-old singer shared with hosts , Sean Hayes and  that she realized after Affleck she needed a new way to cope with her problems.

'The person I am today is so different than the person I was even two years ago, it's crazy. And now I can really look at my life, appreciate it for what it is and what I've created for myself and be really happy,' she shared.

After blaming others for her 40 years of back-to-back heartbreak - with Marc Anthony, Cris Judd and , among others - she decided to look 'inside' for answers.

The Office Romance actress admitted it was difficult for her to be so introspective but she needed to "'f***ing figure myself out."'

'You need to figure yourself out,' she said on the podcast as she said her healing journey included her wanting to stop 'looking for love in other things.' 

'Everybody needs to do that at some point in your life. It's part of being human,' Lopez said.

At times she felt 'like my life blew up in my own face,' she said.

'It was because of the choices I made, but also because of the fact that I had things that needed to change about myself that I didn't understand or recognize that was attracting certain things and attracting a certain type of experience into my life,' she noted.

'So, I want to give myself that credit too, but there comes a point where it's all so puzzling and wrong where you have to sit there,' she said. 

'And after my last divorce, I just sat there and I was like, I canceled my tour and I sat there and I was just like, "You need to f***ing figure yourself out. What is going on with you? Forget about everybody else. There's nobody to blame here except yourself, in a certain way."'

Lopez shared that she asked herself what her life was like now.

'The past twenty years, it's been one thing, the past five years has been a tumult, and then the last two years has been kind of the healing process from that tumult where I really got to know myself,' she said. 

The star has walked down the aisle four times with Affleck, Marc Anthony, Cris Judd and Ojani Noa. 

And she was engaged to former baseball player Rodriguez. 

The most recent chapter in Lopez's marital history played out with Affleck, a relationship that before they finally tied the knot in 2022.

After first meeting on the set of Gigli, the pair became 'Bennifer' in the early 2000s and were engaged in 2002 before abruptly . 

They reunited nearly 20 years later, marrying in Las Vegas in July 2022 followed by a second ceremony in Georgia. 

The comeback romance didn't last, however, with Lopez filing for divorce in 2024, ending their second chapter for good.

But behind the scenes, the marriage was already under strain, and they split in 2011 after seven years together. 

After his split from Lopez in 2011, Anthony moved on relatively quickly in his personal life.

He married Venezuelan model and former Miss Universe winner Shannon De Lima in 2014. 

That marriage lasted until 2017, when the pair separated and later finalized their divorce.

Despite the breakup, Lopez and Anthony have continued to co-parent and remain publicly cordial. 

In June 2022, when the twins were 14, Lopez went viral after indicating a nonbinary identification. 

More recently, a public announcement obtained by the Daily Mail in May stated that the teenager, formerly known as Emme, now goes by the name Oskar Muniz and uses 'he' pronouns.

Lopez's shortest marriage came with choreographer Cris Judd, whom she wed in 2001 after meeting him while working on her Love Don't . 

Judd was working as a backup dancer on her rising pop career at the time, and their relationship quickly escalated from professional to personal after a whirlwind romance on the road and in rehearsals. 

They married in a private ceremony in California, but the pressure of Lopez's global fame and relentless public attention soon took its toll. 

The couple separated in 2002 after less than a year, with Judd later describing the intense scrutiny as overwhelming. 

Lopez's first marriage was to Cuban actor Ojani Noa in 1997, before she became a global superstar. 

At the time she was still breaking through in Hollywood with roles in Selena and Out of Sight. 

Noa was working as a waiter at a Miami restaurant when they met, and their relationship moved quickly, culminating in a wedding just months later. 

However, the marriage was short-lived, ending in 1998 after less than a year, with Lopez's rapidly rising fame and competing career pressures cited as key strains. 

The breakup later spiraled into years of legal disputes after Noa attempted to publish details of their relationship and personal correspondence, prompting Lopez to pursue multiple court actions to block him.

Noa later married Cuban producer and trainer Claudia Vazquez in 2007. 

That marriage also ended in divorce, and since then Noa has largely stayed out of mainstream Hollywood relationships.
