Jelly Roll's estranged wife Bunnie XO announced an out-of-left-field pivot this Friday, just weeks after the country star .

Bunnie, 46, whose real real name is Alisa DeFord, revealed that she has been accepted into State University (ASU) in the Phoenix suburbs.

She neglected to specify what she plans to study at ASU, which enjoys a longstanding reputation as one of America's premier party schools.

'Dr. Xo loading?' Bunnie teased, having previously reinvented herself as a podcaster after ditching her old life as an escort who occasionally earned $100,000 a night. 

News broke last month that Jelly Roll had filed for divorce from Bunnie in May, .

Three days later, she announced on her podcast Dumb Blonde that they were 'still having a baby together,' continuing a two-year  process that she said 'wrecked' her and left her a 'shell' of her former self.

The Daily Mail has contacted a representative for Bunnie for comment.

Bunnie announced her admittance to ASU just as Jelly Roll's daughter Bailee, 18 - whom she helped raise - is herself on the verge of starting college in the autumn.

Meanwhile Bunnie does not appear to have had a prior university education, having instead led a turbulent young life that included stints as a homeless teenager and a Las Vegas casino call girl, as documented in her memoir Stripped Down.

and clarified that she was 'happy for him.'

She also strenuously denied the rumors of her infidelity with Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger, who used to be married to Avril Lavigne.

Bunnie was backed up by Jelly Roll, who to deliver a speech about the end of his marriage. 

'Nobody cheated on nobody,' he confirmed. 'She just did a whole podcast about it. Every word of it is the truth. That will be my best friend forever. This is the only time I will ever speak about it. Bunnie, I love you, baby.'
