Jana Kramer’s new book The Next Chapter: Making Peace with Hard Memories, Finding Hope All Around Me, and Clearing Space for Good Things to Come will be released on Tuesday, with the actress opening up about fights with her ex Mike Caussin.
Kramer, 39, was married to Caussin from 2015 until she filed for divorce in April 2021, citing, ‘inappropriate marital conduct, irreconcilable differences and adultery.’
Her book will be released on Tuesday, with a source from US Weekly revealing segments of the book where she talks about fights she had with Caussin, including one where he called her, ‘a f***ing cripple.’
The fight happened in spring 2021 when Kramer – who was recently hospitalized on her ‘babymoon’ – was recovering from breast augmentation surgery.
Caussin had offered to do the laundry while Kramer recovered, but the spat ensued when he failed to finish the laundry in a timely fashion.

Divorce: Kramer, 39, was married to Caussin from 2015 until she filed for divorce in April 2021, citing, ‘inappropriate marital conduct, irreconcilable differences and adultery.
When Kramer asked for a specific bra, the couple got into an argument where Caussin said, ‘I didn’t know you were such a f***ing cripple.’
Caussin then proceeded to throw wet laundry at Kramer, causing her to lose her balance and fall before she started crying.
While she never mentions Caussin by name in the book, she refers to him simply as, ‘The Ex,’ revealing how he reacted to her falling.
‘In true Ex fashion he said, “That didn’t hurt. Get the f–k up,”‘ Kramer wrote in the book.
She also spoke about another fight they had just weeks earlier in March 2021 on their podcast, just weeks before the laundry room spat.
‘The words are what have stayed with me and you don’t mean those but they are the worst things that stay with someone,’ she told Caussin at the time.
‘I said mean things but you cut deep … I’m, like, high school mean,’ she added, though Caussin replied, ‘You and I are different.’
‘You’ve said some mean words and mean things to me and I don’t hold onto those like you do but we’re different people and that’s OK,’ he said.

‘It’s just me trying to force the upper hand or force respect, which is just a bad way to do it,’ he added.
The couple had a tumultuous relationship for years as Caussin, who played for three different NFL teams between 2010 and 2014, admitted to cheating on Kramer numerous times throughout the years.
Kramer revealed in the book that she discovered evidence that Caussin had cheated once again, which prompted her filing for divorce in April 2021.
The book will chronicle the year following Kramer filing for divorce, as they both co-parent seven-year-old daughter Jolie and four-year-old son Jace.
She revealed in April, ‘I think we’re doing a really great job and I’m really proud of us for the way that we’ve coparented. I want him to be so happy [and] I wanna be happy.’
‘I want everyone to be happy and I don’t want to harbor any bad feelings or anything. I truly wish him the best, hope for the best for him ‘cause that’s the best for the kids at the end of the day,’ she said.
