Amy Shark has revealed why she no longer wears her wedding ring.
The Australian singer, 38, who tied the knot with her husband Shane Billings in 2016, admitted this week that she no longer has the bauble.
‘You know what? This is bad, but I haven’t worn [my wedding ring] in a while because it got stolen,’ she confessed on Nova’s Smallzy’s Surgery.
Amy explained that her ring was taken during a stay at a hotel, but she did not want to share which one, for fear of being ‘sued’.
‘I’d love to say the hotel it got [stolen from] but I won’t,’ she said, adding that she now buys cheaper accessories for fear of losing them.
The indie pop star explained that her ring was substantial, and she does intend to replace it.
‘It was actually quite big. It was a rock. So I need to get a new one’ Amy said.
It comes after Amy revealed whys she believed she needed to hide her marriage during her rise to fame.

The star was married two years before she signed her first record deal.
At the time, Amy believed she had to keep her relationship secret because record labels commonly like female pop stars to appear ‘single and desirable’ – and even her Shane encouraged her.
‘At the start, Shane was like “Take your ring off!”‘ she told The Herald Sun.
‘We were petrified because we had finally got a record deal and things were happening, and at the time, there was still this old-school thought that things might work better if I was mysterious.’
While the singer doesn’t post many photos of her husband on social media, she no longer hides him.

‘And now … people can think whatever they want to think,’ she continued.
‘People get excited to see him; if they spot him side of stage at a show there are more photos of him than me!’
Amy and her husband are also work colleagues after she made him her in-house manager several years ago.
The couple first met when they worked together in 2007 for the Gold Coast Titans – where she was a video editor and he was a financial manager.
