On Sunday, film producer Kimberly Van Der Beek, 44, shared a series of throwback photos of their six children posing with him prior to his tragic death earlier this year.

' so much and thinking of how magnificent you were in every single way today,' she wrote in the caption. 'And somehow, from the other side? You continue to parent. You're a marvel.'

The Dawson's Creek star died at the age of 48 in February after battling colorectal , which he was initially diagnosed with in 2023.

In celebration of Father's Day, his former costar, who played his mother on the show, also . 

Van Der Beek and his wife Kimberly — who got married in 2010 — welcomed six children during their marriage.

For the holiday on Sunday, Kimberly, who married the actor in 2010 and shares six children with him, praised him in her caption, writing: 'Missing you so much and thinking of how magnificent you were in every single way today'; pictured in July 2019

In her post, all of their kids — Olivia, 15, Joshua, 14, Annabel, 12, Emilia, 10, Gwendolyn, 8, and four-year-old Jeremiah — were seen sharing meaningful moments with their dad prior to his passing. 

In the cover photo for her carousel post, Kimberly shared an adorable snapshot of Van Der Beek hugging their young daughter during what appeared to have been a family outdoor excursion.

She also shared a candid snapshot from a family boating trip during which Van Der Beek let one of their kids hold onto the wheel while sitting in his lap.
