Jacob Elordi Injured, Quits Prestigious Role

Jacob Elordi has been forced to ditch a prestigious role at this year's  after suffering an injury that has him sidelined from the red carpet. 

The Australian actor was slated to join the official jury for the lauded annual event, but has broken his foot. 

The 28-year-old was expected to attend the festival, which is held between May 12 and May 23 in Cannes, . 

Elordi's broken bone has left festival organisers 'trying to replace him as a judge at Cannes,' Page Six reported this week. 

The actor would have attended movie screenings, premieres, press conferences, photocalls and parties as a juror, Variety reports. 

The jury this year includes , Stellan Skarsgård and , among others. 

It comes after Jacob and model Kendall Jenner set tongues wagging after they were reportedly caught '.

The 30-year-old supermodel and the actor, who are , were seen getting cosy during Justin Bieber's post-show party which followed his headline set.

Several sources have told Deuxmoi that the pairwere then seen 'enjoying each other’s company at the Bieber after party, making out and all over each other.'

However, the pair are not new acquaintances as they have been friends for four years already.

Eagle-eyed fans even speculated they had spotted the Kissing Booth actor in one of Jenner's Instagram photos from her Coachella 818 party.

One of the first times they were seen together was in late February 2022 in Paris as they hung out with and . 

Then they both attended the same Bottega Veneta spring/summer fashion show in September 2024, though they did not appear to sit together.

The most recent event they have been seen at together is the Vanity Fair Oscar party in March.
