The actor, 66, has filed new legal documents asking a judge to reject a recent motion submitted by Elvira Schneider in their , per TMZ.
She claims he is behind on payments totaling more than $2.3 million.

In his filing, Schneider argues that no sufficient documentation has been provided to support the amount being claimed.
He also disputes the calculations used to reach the figure, saying they contain errors.
A judge has not yet issued a ruling.

Court documents previously filed by Elvira in March alleged that Schneider had fallen significantly behind on his obligations.
She stated he owed $2,382,548, which she says includes nearly $1 million in interest.

Allain was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2019, while the divorce was still ongoing.
Her condition initially went into remission in 2020, but doctors later confirmed in December 2021 that the cancer had returned and spread to her bones.
This followed a hospital admission after she suffered a broken back in a race-car accident.

In February 2023, Allain left hospital to receive hospice care at home. She died six days later at the age of 53.
Schneider later remarried in July 2024, when he wed Emmy Award-winning television personality Dee Dee Sorvino in a surprise ceremony in Las Vegas.
The couple later held a wedding celebration at the Hollywood Museum.
Sorvino was previously married to actor Paul Sorvino, who died in July 2022 from natural causes after a period of declining health.

News of Schneider’s marriage to Dee Dee came several months after he attracted controversy for comments made about President Joe Biden.

In December 2023, the actor responded to a post by Biden on X in which the former president warned that Donald Trump “poses many threats to our country.”
'Mr. President, I believe you are guilty of treason and should be publicly hung. Your son, too,' John wrote in a since-deleted reply to the post.
'Your response is..? Sincerely, John Schneider.'
Following the message, the Secret Service launched an investigation into the actor’s remarks.
Schneider later denied that he had made a direct threat against the president in a follow-up statement.
He first revealed he was in a relationship with Dee Dee \around five months after the controversy, describing the relationship as 'a miracle.'
'God sent a widower to a widow and a widow to a widower who [gets] it, who understands. Because I tell you what, I was ready to give it up, all of it — everything,' he said on Grace Begins, The Podcast.
'Then just when I thought the very notion of dating or holding another hand was repulsive, I met this one, that crazy Dame over there,' he added.
Schneider’s first marriage was to former Miss America and television presenter Tawny Little.
That marriage lasted approximately three years before ending in divorce.
