Introducing Two New Golden Bachelors for Season Two!

The Golden Bachelor 2026 has officially started filming, and this year it's double the drama with not one but two leading men at the helm. 

On Wednesday, this season's bachelors were spotted arriving at the $110 million Tresco Estate in Elizabeth Bay, Sydney, ahead of filming their first cocktail party. 

And while the last Golden Bachelor Barry 'Bear' Myrden won women's hearts for his extremely hunky appearance, the pair are not as strapping as the previous silver fox. 

Daily Mail Australia can reveal the new Golden Bachelors' identities are Ed Savage, a contract logistics manager at transport company K&S Corporation, and Mathew Collett, the co-founder and director of Solar D Derma Tech and Solar D Skincare, a company that has developed and patented a unique Vitamin D SPF Technology.

They will be guided through the matchmaking process by returning host Samantha Armytage. 

Photos taken last week show Ed and Mathew arriving at the mansion alongside a group of producers, both dressed in smart suit trousers and button-down shirts as they prepared for a long night of filming.

After climbing out of a car, the pair were seen unloading matching M.J. Bale garment bags - presumably containing their suit jackets - from the boot of the car and making their way towards the mansion. 

Mathew also carried his dress shoes in a green Julius Marlow shoebox, while both men carried the rest of their belongings in matching blue backpacks. 

As day turned into night, the sprawling gardens of Tresco Estate were illuminated with fairy lights, setting the stage for another season of the top-rating Nine reality show. 

Both Golden Bachelors were spotted making their way through the garden to a small stage area in the centre. 

The men, now dressed in full suits, were soon joined by Samantha, who looked glamorous in a crimson pantsuit. 

Then came the contestants, each descending upon the garden in show-stopping outfits with the goal of capturing Ed and Mathew's attention.

While the show is predicated on competition between the women, the contestants maintained a friendly atmosphere, greeting each other with hugs and clinking glasses.

The party continued long into the night, with the women eagerly waiting for a chance to whisk one of the Bachelors away for a private one-on-one.

Insiders claimed that producers for the 2026 season found that the pool of eligible, emotionally intelligent, over-50 men with on-camera charisma is tiny.

One casting source joked: 'Honestly, they've all dated someone who knows someone who dated someone else. It's like musical chairs for fifty-something romantics.'

The dating pool is so small producers are being forced to overlook complicated dating pasts for a bachelor who is single, emotionally available and TV-ready.

Residents are reportedly fed up with the late-night karaoke sessions and all-night parties taking place at the Golden Bachelor mansion during filming of the Channel Nine reality show

Tensions reportedly boiled over last week when one neighbour retaliated and began blasting a trumpet from their backyard in protest

One local said the disruption in the area had been constant since the production crew arrived earlier this month

'As long as they walk into the mansion single and open-hearted, that's what matters,' a source said, though some joked both of these things are still in serious contention.

Locals claim the current filming of The Golden Bachelor is just the latest chapter in a long-running saga of noise and disruption from the mansion, which has also hosted parties for Amex and Nova 96.9's Christmas party.

'The parties are getting worse. After we tried to take it to council and got knocked back, it's felt like a free-for-all,' a neighbour complained.
