Influencers attending the Australian Grand Prix in over the weekend have been slammed for treating the sporting event as a fashion parade and paying no attention to any of the action on the track.
Eyewitnesses confirmed to Daily Mail that many influencers were taking advantage of VIP areas to take videos of their outfits and create endless content for their social media pages.
'[They] spent more time creating content and sipping champagne in the lounge despite premium access to the track metres away,' they said.
'Some were taking selfies with their backs to the track during the start of races and proceeded to curate content right afterwards instead of watching a moment of the cars going around the track.'
One video, uploaded by popular star Sopha Dopha, showed the influencer swanning around the VIP areas.
The clip also featured fellow influencers such as Jacquie Alexander and enjoying the perks of the event.

One commenter suggested that Dopha was unqualified to promote the event.
'Send an actual F1 content creator,' they wrote.

Again, some were less-than-impressed with their attendance at the premier sporting event.
'And wouldn't know anything about F1,' one commenter wrote.
'Get free tickets just for the fame to walk around.'
Dopha also pointed out the criticism, captioning the clip with another disgruntled comment: 'It's the F1, not a fashion show.'
Hitting back at the criticism, Dopha replied with the comment: 'It can be both.'
Some followers also took issue with influencer Jessie Norbury after she shared a montage clip to Instagram showing all of the outfits she planned to wear over the high-octane weekend
The post was met with a lukewarm reception by some, with one follower commenting: 'And this is how F1 is getting ruined.' Another chimed in with a similar: 'Who cares? omg I love myself'
Some were less-than-impressed with their attendance at the premier sporting event. 'And wouldn't know anything about F1,' one commenter wrote. 'Get free tickets just for the fame to walk around'
However, many were left scrambling for a last-minute invite after Australian Grand Prix Corporation CEO Travis Auld slashed the guest list from 800 to 500 for the soirée.
