Iggy Azalea Faces Backlash Over Sons Name

has revealed her son Onyx Orion Kelly, six, is now an Australian citizen.

The singer, 36, who shares her only child with ex-partner American rapper , posted the news to X on Thursday.

However, followers flocked to the comments to slam the musician over her son's name, while others were left confused about her own citizenship. 

Iggy shared a photo of the document which showed her son was made a citizen on May 23.

She captioned the post with green and yellow heart emojis, as well as a heart-face emoji.

Some fans took aim at the child's unique name. 

'Bro named her child after a Pokémon,' one person wrote, while another agreed: 'Really named your kid after a Pokémon huh? Grow up.'

Though another fan  

'The people in the comments thinking someone named their kid after a stupid Pokémon. Onyx is a STONE,' they commented. 

'Australians always showing they're a bunch of uncultured freaks I swear.' 

'With all due respect. What a f***ing s*** name,' someone else said of the name.

'WTF is an Onyx? Poor kid is gonna get picked on all thru primary and high school. Poor kid is gonna have 12yrs of hell. Why do that to him or her?' one wrote.

Meanwhile, other followers were left confused by the photo, with many questioning whether or not Iggy was born in Australia herself.
