Gemma Atkinson Slams Gorkas Kitchen Obsession

and her fiancé Gorka Márquez butted heads on the latest episode of their podcast as they discussed how they organise their pans in the kitchen. 

The former actress, 41, and ex-Strictly star, 35, who are parents to daughter Mia, six, and two-year-old son Thiago, were discussing tidiness in the kitchen on the latest episode of their podcast Lost In Translation.

However Gemma was left frustrated at Gorka's need to have things organised a certain way and being over tidy. 

She explained: 'We've got a fitted hob oven, and it's been smashed for months. I dropped a glass bottle of olive oil on it. 

'When Gorka was away for the six weeks, I ordered a new one. I had a new one fitted. Anyway, it's all done, sparkling new clean.'

She continued: 'Gorka's first day home, he doesn't even notice the hob. What he did notice underneath it.

'He went, "You can tell I've been away," and I went, "What do you mean?" and he went, "These pans like this for no reason." 

'And I just thought you're a***d about the order in which the pans are in under the oven hob in a cupboard, which no one sees, but the brand spanking new hob that's no longer cracked and smashed, you didn't notice.' 

Gorka then defended himself as he said: 'It's not that it', it's about the practicality of getting the pans quickly. 

'Also, there were pans that are brand new, they shouldn't be being used by nobody, and I only use them to cook certain things.

'Like, for example, there is a big pan, I just use it to cook the rice, because it's for my paella.'

Gemma then joked: 'I let the kids play with their play dough in that one the other day.... Not really.'

Gorka replied: 'No, but I can believe that, because the other day I went to get the spatula, and they were all in the playroom.'

'Yeah they want to play kitchens,' reasoned Gemma as Gorka hit back: 'Just buy them toys, not the things that we're used to cooking.'

Defending his tidy habits, Gorka said: 'I will never go to anyone's house and I think, "oh, I think this should be like this," and then organise it, because it's not my house, so you can tidy it. 

'But if you tidy, tidy within the space that needs to be.'

The couple previously clashed last month during the podcast, when Gorka told Gemma to 'stop using their kids' to get her own way, moments after she claimed he 'pushed the narrative she was never nice'. 

The couple were chatting about pets and Gemma explained how she'd love to get another dog, despite Gorka's objections, and recently came across pooches up for adoption while at a local fair with their children. 

He said: 'Don't try and use the kids to get another dog, you're convincing them so I'm going to have to give in and get another dog, do not do that'

'That's the plan then' she quipped, to which Gorka replied: 'Get another dog, but I go 365 days [a year] on tour'.

Earlier in the show Gemma welcomed listeners, as well as Gorka, who was recording elsewhere in the country amid his UK tour.

He said: 'Thank you for being nice to me' only for Gemma to snap: 'What do you mean thank you for being nice to you? like I am never nice to you'

'I am winding you up' Gorka laughed.

While Gemma went on: 'You need to stop that narrative because people are going to be coming for me thinking I am snide to you, I am the kindest person to you, the things I do for you and us are in abundance my friend'.
