'It turns out tucking into a three-course meal is the perfect way to get the best stories out of your guests - including us!'

Fuelling the conversation, Good Food’s Senior Food Editor Samuel Goldsmith is on cooking duties, preparing delicious Good Food recipes each week that listeners can make themselves at home.

Over starters they discuss how their guests met and what their first impressions were, tucking into mains they chat through current projects and over dessert give a sneak peak of what’s coming up next.

Other guests include Russell Howard and Dan Atkinson, as well as Dame Arlene Phillips and Bradley Riches.

Joanna and Mathew were last seen together on screen for Gavin and Stacey's final ever episode on Christmas Day in 2024.

The special was watched by 20 million people and James and Ruth originally considered making it into a film.

However, they decided to keep it on the small screen, feeling the characters they created belonged in people's living rooms, rather than on in the cinema.

In a special documentary following the emotional episode, James revealed why Gavin And Stacey could not continue.

He explained: 'Probably from the first Christmas special that we did, when Dave proposes and Smithy says, "Don't marry him", from that minute on it felt like they had to end together.'

'And that's what he says in this last scene, "I know it's messy and not perfect, but that's because we're messy and not perfect".'
