Fremantles Sam Switkowski and wife expecting baby!

Fremantle Dockers star Sam Switkowski and his wife Savannah have announced they are expecting their first child later this year.

The AFL forward shared the joyous baby news in a heart-warming joint Instagram post on Saturday, their family is set to grow.

'Our family is growing. Baby Switkowski incoming!' the couple captioned the sweet post.

In the adorable images, Savannah smiled from ear to ear as she held up an ultrasound scan. 

They posed alongside Sam and their beloved dog, Lenny, who hilariously sat front and centre for the family announcement.

Savannah looked radiant in an oversized white button-up shirt, while Sam kept things casual in a dark knit sweater and white trousers.

A second intimate photo showed the pair embracing, with Sam lovingly placing his hand on Savannah's tummy while the ultrasound image was held close to her growing bump. 

The couple's announcement was quickly flooded with congratulatory messages from friends, family and AFL stars.

Dockers teammates Jordan Clark and Luke Jackson were among the first to send their well wishes, while Lizzie Brayshaw commented: 'So exciting!!!'

Savannah also joked about their dog adjusting to the family expansion, commenting: 'Lenny looks really pleased that he won't be centre of attention anymore.'

The exciting personal milestone came just one day after Switkowski delivered a standout performance for Fremantle in their clash against the Western Bulldogs at Marvel Stadium on Friday night.

The small forward booted three crucial goals to help lift the Dockers to their seventh consecutive win.
