Ex-Girlfriend Donates $10K to Eric Danes GoFundMe

’s ex-girlfriend Priya Jain has donated a five-figure sum to the late star’s GoFundMe following his death at 53.

The actor passed away on Thursday after battling amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), prompting friends to launch the fundraiser with his ex-wife listed as the beneficiary.

The campaign has from roughly 4,000 donations and is closing in on its $500,000 goal - with Jain contributing $10,000, according to UsWeekly.

Jain, 28, was first romantically linked to the Grey’s Anatomy heartthrob in 2024 and was believed to still be in his life earlier this year.

She was when Dane appeared on the red carpet with photographer Janell Shirtcliff in June 2025, despite claims the pair had ‘never broken up.’

However, an insider said the former couple later reconnected as friends in the months leading up to his death, ultimately making peace before his passing.

'In the months leading up to Eric's passing Priya and Eric reconnected their relationship as friends,' a source told Us Weekly.

It was added that the actress was shocked by Dane's rapid decline in health: 'Priya didn't think it would happen this quickly.'

Dane and Gayheart separated in 2018 but shockingly called off their divorce in March 2025, one month before the former Grey's Anatomy sensation announced his heartbreaking prognosis.

In a first-person piece published in The Cut in December, Gayheart shed light on their relationship, explaining that her love for him was not romantic but 'familial.' 

She added that she was trying to do her best by him amid his health issues.

The actress wrote: 'We had a really lovely marriage for a long time - we were married for 15 years - we created two beautiful girls.

'But also, lots of s**t went crazy in our relationship, and it wasn't good. We separated, but we never got a divorce; we were about to and then we didn't. We haven't lived in the same home for eight years; he's dated other people, I've dated someone.'

'It's a very complicated relationship, one that's confusing for people,' she acknowledged.

Dane's family announced his death in a statement reading: 'With heavy hearts, we share that Eric Dane passed on Thursday afternoon following a courageous battle with ALS.

'He spent his final days surrounded by dear friends, his devoted wife, and his two beautiful daughters, Billie and Georgia, who were the center of his world. 

'Throughout his journey with ALS, Eric became a passionate advocate for awareness and research, determined to make a difference for others facing the same fight.

'He will be deeply missed, and lovingly remembered always. Eric adored his fans and is forever grateful for the outpouring of love and support he's received.'
