The former radio star, 47, took to her Instagram Story on Monday to detail a shocking health ordeal that has left doctors baffled.
'I'm in hospital. I'm ok,' she wrote.
'The reason is so fkn ridiculous. I'm the talk of Austin [Hospital in Heidelberg], seriously, if this was an episode of House, I'd be the main storyline.'
Continuing, Em revealed that she was suffering from rhabdomyolysis – a rare and potentially life-threatening condition where damaged muscle tissue breaks down, releasing its intracellular contents into the bloodstream.
'I've developed something called rhabdomyolysis (rhabdo). Basically, my muscles (biceps to be exact) got so damaged that they started leaking into my blood,' Em wrote.

'Those cells are in turn putting my kidneys under pressure, so they're flushing me aggressively with IV fluids. I have to have my wee measured every hour.'
Em added that she developed the condition after going 'too hard at the gym.'
'I'm ok, but I essentially went too hard at the gym and have caused some muscle death. As one does.'
She also revealed that she had become quite the curiosity among hospital staff.
'Doctors have literally been coming and talking to me for fun because they've not seen this happen to someone like me ever. I'm like a new zoo exhibit,' she wrote.
'My creatinine numbers were 45,000, and normal is below 5000. I know pride is the wrong emotion here.'
In a subsequent slide, Em admitted that pull-ups were the culprit.
'I got the Rhabdo doing pull ups. My biceps are still pretty swollen and I can't straighten my arms yet,' she wrote.
