The 55-year-old Wild Things actress had married Phypers in 2018 until the estranged couple each filed for divorce last year.
At the time, he requested that the Hollywood star pay him spousal support while she also asked for spousal support in return from her ex.
Last week, Phypers once again requested that Richards immediately pay him temporary spousal support due to his alleged financial strain and in October 2025.
A judge has now ruled that the actress must pay Phypers $5,000 monthly amid their divorce battle, per documents obtained by Daily Mail.
She will pay the sum on the 5th of each month beginning in March and will do so until otherwise ordered by the court.

Along with the temporary spousal support, Richards has also been ordered to pay an additional $30,000.
The cost will cover her ex's $25,000 in attorney fees as well as $5,000 to cover a forensic accountant.

Earlier last week, Phypers asked that the actress immediately pay him spousal support in filed legal paperwork; seen in 2023 in L.A.
Per the outlet, he also claimed his pending criminal and domestic violence case should not hinder him from getting spousal support.
He claimed the court is obligated to order his estranged wife to pay temporary spousal support in spite of his ongoing criminal case and restraining order as 'there has been no criminal conviction' yet.'
However on Thursday, Richards had a smile on her face outside court in Los Angeles as their divorce battle continues.
She made a dramatic appearance at Stanley Mosk Courthouse in an all-black outfit featuring a skintight, long-sleeved top paired with a leather midi skirt and matching, peep-toe pumps.
Richards, who carried a studded leather clutch and wore oversize, cat-eye sunglasses over her eyes, was joined by her attorney and a buff bodyguard for the hearing.

The star looked to be in high spirits despite Phypers' continued demands for spousal support amid his domestic violence charges, which he has pled not guilty to.
In contrast, Richards's estranged husband had a seemingly solemn expression on his face as he made his arrival to the courthouse shortly after her.

During a recent appearance on Tori Spelling's Misspelling podcast, Richards addressed the since-deleted GoFundMe as well as references to her daughter Eloise that had been made in the fundraiser.
'Say whatever you want about me, which they have - I'll deal with that after the divorce,' the actress expressed.
'But when you cross a line and bring my youngest daughter into trying to get money from strangers, it's outrageous - that is wrong.'
The star further added, 'To go to this level, to bring my daughter into it - it's more a personal thing. It is shocking, but whatever.'
