The Wonder Years star  revealed she was 'embarrassed' after realizing that she loved the .

McKellar, 51, candidly discussed her postpartum experience on The Bobby Bones Show podcast on Tuesday, as she compared her placenta to a 'filet mignon.'

'My doula said, "Do you want to taste the placenta?" I'd just given birth, and I'm like, "Sure." I mean, you’re not in your right mind,' she recalled.

'She gave me a piece of it. Bobby, it was like the best filet mignon that I have ever tasted. But more,' the former child star shared.

'I was embarrassed about how much I loved it. It was bizarre. I thought, "What is this, some sort of weird satanic… Am I a cannibal?" [But] we are meant to have that.'

The actress has one son, 15-year-old Draco, from her previous marriage to composer Mike Verta. Following their 2012 divorce, she wed attorney Scott Sveslosky in 2014.
