The 34-year-old former star took to Instagram to go after the commenter who replied to a post featuring himself, 43-year-old husband Jordan C. Brown-Underwood, and the son they welcomed in September 2024.
The user seemingly made light of the fact that the child has two fathers as they wrote: 'I feel bad for that kid.'
Regardless of what the online troll's intentions were, Underwood did not take too kindly to the reply as he screenshotted the comment and posted it over a snap of his family.

He then went on to post three slides of texts replying directly to the comment which began: 'Hey Zach - genuinely curious what you meant by this.
'Because if you "feel bad" for Bishop, I'd love to understand why. He's loved, supported, celebrated, Happy and surrounded by people who show up for him every single day.'

Underwood went on to explain that a 'loving family' isn't what children need protecting from and that adults with harmful words actually hurt a child's development.
He wrote: 'What a child actually needs protection from isn't a loving family. It's 'adults' who use vague, loaded comments to express disapproval they don't have the courage to say out loud.
Meanwhile, back in September 2024, Underwood and his husband Brown-Underwood announced the arrival of Bishop Colton Brown-Underwood who was born via surrogate
The 32-year-old retired NFL tight end (L) paid a hefty price for their family as they hired a $350K fertility team of nine people (including cost of surrogate, egg donor, and eggs) to produce three embryos fertilized by him and the 41-year-old One Blue Hill founder (R)
The dads-to-be fondly recalled the moment they learned the embryo transfer was successful, as the influencer-podcaster said: 'When you burst into tears I started tearing up and it was just such a loving fun moment in a memory of the best birthday (January 26) of my life and then we slowly got to tell people.'
As for baby names, Brown teased: 'We have a leading contender and then we have several others that we both like and we'll see what his vibe is.'
The Masked Singer 'Lovebird' also revealed he struggled with fertility issues when he discovered his sperm count was four - not million - four and 'three of them were dead.'
'There's such shame,' Colton told Men's Health.
Colton and the former Democratic political strategist began dating in 2021 - the same year he publicly came out as gay under threat of blackmail (pictured in 2024)
'Women have too many responsibilities when it comes to giving birth, so for men to have literally one responsibility - have sperm that works to get to the egg - and you can't even do that? That's why it's a blow to your ego.'
Underwood's low sperm count was due to his daily use of hot tubs, saunas, baths, and testosterone-replacement therapy - all of which he quit for six months in order to get his sperm successfully back in the millions.
And while the Name That Tune contestant has 'a million regrets' in life he said of first-time fatherhood: 'But it's worth it, and once the baby's here, it's gonna be so rewarding - and I just appreciate the journey that much more.'
