The model, 42, and the actor, 40, live a private life but were putting on a loved-up display at the star-studded event.

Alexa looked stunning in a lime green silk dress with a daring thigh-split and lily pad design at her waist.

She accessorised with huge white flower earrings and gazed adoringly at Tom as they posed for snaps.

Tom looked smart in a black suit and white shirt and accessorised with dark shades as he put his arm around his stunning partner.

It was reported in 2024 that the couple had got engaged, though neither has ever confirmed this.

The star first sparked engagement rumours with the actor in 2023 with the couple seen wearing matching rings that October.

Then it was claimed the couple are said to be 'over the moon' and are planning a 'classy' wedding ceremony.

A source told The Sun: 'Alexa has confirmed to her friends that she is indeed engaged to Tom and she is over the moon.'

'She is in a great place and seems completely head over heels for him. They're a great match.'

'They have been hard at work planning a wedding with all of their close pals there.'

'It won't be a massive over-the-top affair but a smaller, classier and cooler bash.'

The Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Benefit, also known as the , falls on the first Monday in May every year.

It was the first time tennis superstar Williams has co-chaired the gala. Kidman previously co-chaired the star-studded event in 2003 as well as 2005, and Beyonce was an honorary chair in 2013.
