Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky have been presented with a unique opportunity to expand their massive estate on Byron Bay’s so-called ‘Golden Grid’.

The neighbouring nine-hectare property to their $50million pad has been listed for an undisclosed price.

But real estate insiders have estimated the luxury retreat could fetch as much as $34million.

However, the Daily Telegraph reported on Sunday that the Hemsworth’s have made no attempt to declare their interests on the palatial spread.

The site last went under the hammer in 2011 for $6.3million. Australian comedy legend Paul Hogan and some associates made headlines in 1983 after snapping up the former banana plantation for $265,000.

It’s currently owned by oil and gas multimillionaire Russell Staley and his wife, Jennifer, who started to build the current spread on the site in 2014.

Located at Broken Head in the Byron Bay hinterland the property, known as Ohana, sits between the Hemsworth’s place and Seven Mile Beach.

Surrounded by bushland, the architect designed home opens out to 450 metres of beach frontage and boasts a series of pavilions that can host 28 guests.

There’s also accommodation for a live-in manager which has a separate entrance.

And according to real estate experts in the region, the property is expected to beat Byron’s last sales record of $33.65million.

Another luxury spread in nearby Bangalow has been listed with a price guide of $37million.

It comes after Bondi Sands owner Shaun Wilson recently splashed out $8million to live next door to Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky.

The businessman, who co-founded the fake tan brand with Blair James, has poured some of his lavish earnings into the purchase of a sprawling Byron Bay mansion.

Shaun and his fiancée Tess Shanahan have snapped up a six-bedroom home in what has been dubbed Byron Bay’s ‘Golden Grid’, reported realestate.com.au in June.

The couple will have some very famous neighbours as Hollywood star Chris and his wife Elsa, as well as his brother Liam Hemsworth, own multimillion-dollar properties in the area.

Aussie actor Chris and his wife Elsa live with their three children in an eight-bedroom Balinese-style house in Byron Bay, which they bought in 2014 for $7million.

His brother Liam followed in his footsteps and bought 37 hectares of land in Byron Bay for $6.8million in 2021, before submitting plans to build a $14.6million mansion on the site.
