showed off her incredible legs as she arrived at a pre-Oscars bash on Thursday evening. 

The actress, 50, looked nothing short of sensational in a chic black mini dress as she posed for cameras on arrival at the event, hosted by Dior and W magazine at the longstanding Beverly Hills institution Mr. Chow.

Flaunting her long, toned legs, Charlize added inches to her frame with Dior slingback heels, which retail for £880.

Keeping with the Dior theme, the Oscar-winner completed her look with a black vertical Dior bag, which retails for £3,300. 

Charlize flashed a glimpse of a cheeky smile for the cameras as she exited her car, joining a host of A-list guests at the party, including , , , Teyana Taylor, and .

and Leonardo will face off in the coveted Best Actor category, while Sinners earned the most Academy Awards nominations in history.

Timothee, 30, received a nod for Marty Supreme, while 51-year-old Leonardo was put forward for One Battle Another, going up against Ethan Hawke for Blue Moon, Michael B Jordan for Sinners, and Wagner Moura for The Secret Agent.

Ryan Coogler's Sinners made history as it earned the most Academy Awards nominations ever, with 16, including the biggest prize of the night, Best Picture.

It broke the record of 14 previously shared by 1950's All About Eve, 1997's Titanic and 2016's La La Land.

The horror flick is one of the ten films up for the honour alongside Bugonia, F1, Frankenstein, Hamnet, Marty Supreme, One Battle After Another, The Secret Agent, Sentimental Value and Train Dreams. 

Irish star  will no doubt be the favourite in the Actress in a Leading Role category for her work in Hamnet, facing a star-studded field including  - If I Had Legs I would Kick You, - Song Sung Blue, Renate Reinsve - Sentimental Value and  - Bugonia. 

However, there was a massive backlash after  was for Wicked: For Good. She had been nominated last year for her work in the first film of the musical franchise. 

Wicked: For Good was completely shut out of nominations. This came despite an acclaimed leading performance by Cynthia Erivo, as well as new songs written for the film, including No Place Like Home and The Girl In The Bubble.
