The TV personality, 42, and the singer, 44, who divorced shortly after they got married months after meeting on in 2006, have changed as people in the 20 years since their whirlwind love story began.
And Chantelle, who won Celebrity Big Brother after she entered the house as a non-celebrity and convinced Preston and their fellow housemates that she was a member of the fictional girl band, Kandy Floss, said they wouldn't share the same spark now.
She told Betway: 'We’re totally different people from who we were then.
'It’s been 20 years! I’ve been through experiences that have completely changed me, and I’m sure he has, too. We’re just very, very, very different people now.
'Back in my 20s, I was one person, and now, in my 40s, I’m still that person in some ways, but I’m also very, very different. If we were both single and met for the first time now, there wouldn’t be that same spark.'

The former couple could not get back together as they have found new romances, but Chantelle and Ordinary Boys frontman Preston - real name Samuel Preston - still talk.
She said: 'We still message every now and then. I think he’s engaged to someone now. We’re still friendly, there’s no bad blood.
'We didn’t have an awful falling out. Obviously, there were problems and a bit of animosity at the time, but no, I genuinely wish him well.
'We’ve been through so much together that no one else will really understand. That friendship still matters. It’s good memories, and it’s something we did once in our lives. It was just a great experience.'

As her and Preston's relationship was played out in public, it has made Chantelle want to keep the identity of her new man private for now.
She said: 'Right now, I’m not sure whether I want to go public with my new man or keep it just for me. I’m living in the moment.
'I want to tell the world how amazing he is, of course I do, but for now, I’m keeping it to myself.'

'Chivalry appears to be dead, and I'd much rather go through the rest of my life single than settle for someone who makes me miserable.'
Chantelle was also but ended the relationship after claims he had been unfaithful with other men and turned their home into a sex dungeon in 2011.
Chantelle also dated former Crimewatch host Rav Wilding, before they were pictured .
Telling The Mirror about the incident at the time: 'You give six months of your life to someone – you don't expect this treatment. Everyone could see it was aggressive.'
